I will LIVE stream a Traditional Latin Mass at NOON Central Daylight Time (= GMT/UTC -5 and ROME 1900h).

Today: Votive Mass of the Holy Angels
Prayers Added: For the tempted and tried
After Mass: Exorcism against Satan and Fallen Angels
propria.org has the texts for this votive Mass HERE

Will you please tell others about these Masses?  Will you please subscribe to my channel? HERE

  • NB: You can usually find an English translation of the Mass formulary HERE.  Scroll down. Use the 1960 setting.
  • We can say the Regina Caeli together, since the Angelus bells are usually ringing when the live stream starts.
  • I will say a Spiritual Communion prayer at the very beginning for those of you who cannot make a Eucharistic Communion.
  • I will also recite in Latin the traditional  “Statement of Intention” (…a hint to priests).
  • After Mass and the Leonine Prayers, I will recite a prayer in Latin “In time of pandemic” followed by a blessing with a fragment of the Cross

  1. Veronica scriptor velum says:

Thank you so much Father Z for your daily celebrations of the Traditional Latin Mass, enabling us to be present at the Holy Sacrifice via Internet. I cannot express how much this means to me, and surely to many hundreds (thousands ?) of fellow Catholics looking in.

And thank you for your insightful and fascinating sermon on the Holy Angels. I have a great devotion to the angels and especially my guardian angel. I am sure he has saved my life on at least three occasions when I had some amazing narrow escapes from death. I pray to him, and my childrens’ guardian angels, every single day.

Outstanding homily! Very elucidating. I think I should listen to it again. Thank you.

  3. Philidor62 says:

    Fr. Z,
    I’m new, so be merciful.
You want good news. How about Pope Francis” homily for Corpus Christi? http://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/homilies/2020/documents/papa-francesco_20200614_omelia-corpusdomini.html
Speaking as a wounded soul, I think he hit a home run.
The Latin Mass church I attend here in the Heart of America was standing room only, with no Guardsmen or police in sight. The confessional line was long. The homily (on the vital importance of the priest to confect the Body and Blood for us) was welcome.solid cathechesis. The procession went off without a hitch.
Prayers for our (staunchly pro-Life) Archbishop Naumann.
And chessically, have you ever tried the Cochrane Gambit against the Petroff Defense? It’s where, instead of retreating your knight after taking the king pawn, you sac it (4.Nxf7?!} for a huge attack.
    (Me neither.)

  4. “Philidor”… you reveal your interest in Chess.

In the future, please do feel free as Sundays come along to add good points you heard from your Sunday sermons under the posts which I invariably put up asking precisely for the same!

And I have never tried that gambit… at least for the last 30 years.
