LENTCAzT 2021: 01 Ash Wednesday – Unto dust thou shalt return.

For Lent I offer daily 5 minute podcasts.  They are intended to give you a small boost every day, a little encouragement in your own use of this holy season.  The Roman Station today is Santa Sabina.

Today is Ash Wednesday, it is a day of fast and abstinence.   Plan to GO TO CONFESSION!

We hear about Roman Stations today.   The beautiful nuns of Gower Abbey sing to us US HERE – UK HERE.  Fr. Troadec reflects on our dusty condition [US HERE].

    If I’ve done it once, I’ve done it several dozen times. It happens most often near the end of the semester, and especially near the end of the spring semester. I turn around from writing on the board and see a shocked and confused look on my students’ faces. “What did I say?” It turns out I’ve said the opposite of what I’ve written on the board. With that preamble about human fallibility — particularly mine own, I will say only one thing:
