LENTCAzT 2021: 13 – Monday 2nd Week of Lent: “Cultivate the small virtues”

For Lent I offer daily 5 minute podcasts.  They are intended to give you a small boost every day, a little encouragement in your own use of this holy season.  The Roman Station today is the fascinating San Clemente.

Today is Monday in the 2nd Week of Lent. Plan to GO TO CONFESSION!

Card. Bacci talks about living normal life in the normal course of events.

I provide these especially in gratitude to benefactors who help me and this blog.

Thank you, Father Z. This was especially helpful.

Thank you for urging your readers to visit San Clemente in Rome. I went there six years ago and indeed, made it down to the lowest level where I saw the mithraeum. It was dark and musty but quite fascinating. Please continue to point out other notable station churches. A lot of people make the mistake of visiting only St. Peter’s, Santa Maria Maggiore and San Giovanni in Laterano, neglecting to see the other older Roman churches.

Thank you for posting early today! This is very helpful for those of us in Europe and even further east.
