LENTCAzT 2021: 46 – Holy Saturday: “The sacramental character of the solemnity”

For Lent I offer daily 5 minute podcasts.  They are intended to give you a small boost every day, a little encouragement in your own use of this holy season.  The Roman Station tonight for the Vigil is Saint John Lateran.

Today is Holy Saturday in the Triduum.

Today we hear from Fr. Troadec and Pius Parsch.

You got your music for Lent in advance.  How about music for Easter? US HERE – UK HERE the wonderful Benedictines of Gower Abbey who NEED YOUR HELP.

I provide these especially in gratitude to benefactors who help me and this blog.

Could you please provide us with a link to that recording of the Exultet? My husband has sung it in the past, and has not been able to find this version!

Rest assured that my family thanks you for these podcasts. It is all we have left of the Catholic Church here in Chile. Where the bishops are frozen in fear for their mortal lives to such a degree that they have forgotten their eternal lives and the eternal lives of their sheep. Jim in Chile

Anne C: Father Z has made a huge number of wonderful podcaZts, one is #17, and starting at around 12:00 sings an excellent Exsultet in Latin. Not sure if this is what he used in the above PodcaZt, but it is thrilling every time I listen to it.
