ADVENTCAzT 2021: 11 – Wednesday 2nd Week of Advent – Immaculate Conception

One of a series of 5 minute daily podcasts during Advent 2021. Today we hear from Pius Parsch about why the Feast of the Immaculate Conception is in Advent. Dom Prosper Gueranger waxes eloquent about our good fortune. St. Ignatius of Antioch reminds what we, because we are so fortunate, ought to do.

Three different groups of sisters sing for us today.

First, the wonderful Benedictines of Gower Abbey.

Echoes of Ephesus

Then Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist

Mater Eucharistiae

Finally Mindenszentek Kármel Kórusa (in Pécs. S. Hungary)

Mária, kármel virága (Mary, Flower of Carmel)

Thank you Father Z. We will follow what you preached an up our prayers for family and loved ones and those that antagonize us. We thank God for giving us a sense of humor. How can we not be happy looking at the face of the Immaculate Conception.
