ADVENTCAzT 2022: 11 – Wednesday 2nd Week of Advent: Candid and fearless

A series of 5 minute daily podcasts for Advent 2022.

Today, we hear from The Art of Dying by Br. Columba Thomas, OP, MD.   Fr. Parsch speaks to us from the 20th c. about St. Ambrose, Bishop and Doctor, whose feast it is today.

We hear at the beginning a snip from the gracious Advent chant album by the Benedictine nuns of Gower Abbey.  It is an English rendering of the beautiful Advent hymn by Ambrose Veni Redemptor gentium.

“If the foundation falls, everything built upon it must fall”—enough to give one the shivers today. Thanks, Father Z.

  3. Amina says:

12 years of parochial education never elucidated the 4 Latin Drs. I am considering the other 3 may be St. John Damascus, St Athanasius of Alexandria and St Ireanius of Lyon.
