Today we hear a bit about the amazing number of church in Rome dedicated to St. Lawrence.  Also, we have a gloss on why it seems that God can be harsh with us sometimes.  Christ was harsh with the Canaanite woman.  What’s up with that?

The history to be found within Rome is amazing. I hope I can take my family one day. The idea of walking the same area as the great saints and Church figures is amazing. Imagine having Philip Neri with you at your hour of death!! You posted about Sirleto before and my family has prayed to him ever since. I have found myself earnestly imploring these great Churchmen of the past to assist us in our present situation.

St. Lawrence, St. Brigid, Cardinal Sirleto, pray for us.
