I made a really fast podcast today, inspired by a couple paragraphs coming before the excerpt of Augustine’s en. ps. 140 in today’s second reading for the Office of Readings.
In this podcast I read in English for a change, not Latin and I talk about the different ways Christ speak in Scripture while comparing them with what happens at Mass and how a church building reflects the same model.
Since I was working really really fast today, I had a slip of the tongue here and there, but nothing too profound.
Enjoy!

Brilliante! Just wondered Father – is it supposed to play at dubbing speed? Sounded like Alvin the Chipmunk giving a sermon! However, despite entertaining – extremely good work, I hope this becomes a series…?!
Dunno, but you nailed the Alvin impression..
:-)
It plays correctly when downloaded. I’m not sure why it does Alvin and the chipmunks instead of Father Z when played otherwise.
Thank you for this Father. May I ask, under what title might the full commentaries be found in English?
Father Z: I recalled today that the “chipmunk effect” happened to me last when I using an improper codec. Most likely the program that is encoding the file and the settings for playing it onsite don’t match up somehow.
Also, I meant to say thanks for keeping your podcasts downloadable. I put them on my mp3 so I can listen on my way to morning mass.
Lord bless you.
about the popup problem; macromedias’ flash player has a problem with audio files that are encoded at a rate that isn’t a multiple of 11.025 khz. The programmer(s) took some math shortcuts… So record at 11.025 khz, 22.050 khz or 44.100 kHz, etc..
If I was rofl at the podcast in the popup, does that make me someone who is easily amused? ;)
matt: So record at 11.025 khz, 22.050 khz or 44.100 kHz, etc..
Or can I simply save it in one of those rates?
