WDTPRS Spiritual Bouquet for Pope Benedict for St. Joseph’s Day (19 March)

Pray for Pope Benedict

Think of the great cares the Holy Father bears in his heavy mandate as Vicar of Christ.  He has need of our prayers to help him be strong and to guard him from his enemies.

I propose to all readers here a Spiritual Bouquet for Pope Benedict with a ending date of 19 March, the Feast of St. Joseph, which is the Holy Father’s baptismal “name day”.  Since we are beginning on 19 February we have about a month.

Will you participate?

If you are a blogger, will you direct people here for the during of the time?

You are able to check more than one of the options below. I have it set so that you can participate once per 24 hour period (24 hours from the last time you voted).

Many of these works also gain an indulgence under the usual conditions.

If some of the options don’t seem exact enough for what you have done, that’s okay.  This isn’t a scientific poll.  Just find the option that best describes what you did to participate.

I hope this post gets a horde of hits.

  2. Rachel Pineda says:

This just made my day, no, my whole month! Thank you Fr. Z & thank you everyone who prays for Pope Benedict XVI!

  3. Henry Edwards says:

I THINK, I have it set so that you can participate once per day.

Unfortunately, it looks on my screen like this did not work.

  4. Andy Milam says:

I will be praying an entire rosary every day for the novena.

  5. Henry: I was wondering if it would work too. When I logged on this morning, it looked as if the daily “cookie” was still in place. However, I just refreshed and I was given once again the option to make choices. So, it looks as if it works after all. Perhaps try again with a hard refresh, a CTR-F5 refresh and see if that won’t produce results.

  6. NonSumDignus says:

Father, its not letting me vote once per day. I tried refreshing the page and still not working.

  7. Tony Layne says:

I’ve got the picture linked from both my blogs back to here.

  8. irishgirl says:

I voted the first time you posted this, Father Z-I think it was on Saturday.
    Thank you for suggesting this!
Our Holy Father needs all the prayers he can get!

  9. People can indicate every day – once in a 24 hour period – what they have done!

For example, it was about 10:45 am on the day I posted this. I made selections at that time. So, I have to wait about the same time of day to be able again to indicate what I did that day. See? I set a recurring alarming on my phone to remind me to return to do that.

You could do that too! And you could use that reminder to vote for WDTPRS as well!

  10. Misty says:

I voted and will come back tomorrow!

  12. Ferde Rombola says:

Padre, could you add ‘An hour of Eucharistic Adoration’ to the list?

  13. Ferde: I think "Visit to the Blessed Sacrament" might cover that.

  14. Incaelo says:

I’ll do my best to add to this bouquet for the Holy Father. As a first step, I wrote about it in my blog.

  15. mrsmontoya says:

I will pray the little office of night prayers: Midnight, Watch, and Dawn prayers. Starting at midnight following the Vigil.

Thank you, Fr. Z, for giving us a central location on which to put our prayers.

  16. Patti Day says:

Father, I was unable to access the spiritual bouquet today. Neither clicking on the list, nor the Holy Father’s picture would get me through, and I was logged in and had my pop up blocker turned off. This happened one other time. I’ll be back…
