Die Tagespost: high demand for old Missal at Vatican bookstore

There is an article in Die Tagespost indicating that at the Vatican Bookstore (on the left side of St. Peter’s Square as you face the Basilica) there is high demand for the reprint edition of the 1962 Missale Romanum.  B/T SD – o{]:¬)

Does this surprise anyone?

600 or the 1000 copies have moved out of the store already.  How wonderful a little YouTube would be of a German priest in a sort of … what was that movie with Arnold where he was trying to get the toy for the kid before Christmas…? … going from bookstore to bookstore and everyone is snatching this book up before he gets there…. Anyway…

We are not yet sure about another printing of the book.  They are daft if they don’t.  Pecunia non olet, after all.

Vatikan: Starke Nachfrage nach Messbuch von 1962

Vatikanstadt (DT/KNA) Das neu aufgelegte lateinische Messbuch von 1962 ist im Vatikan stark gefragt: Innerhalb einer Woche seien von 1 000 Exemplaren der Startauflage 600 Bände verkauft worden, teilte die Vatikanische Verlagsbuchhandlung am Freitag auf Anfrage mit. Ob das alte „Missale Romanum“ weiter nachgedruckt werde und in welcher Stückzahl, sei noch nicht entschieden.
