YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

PLEASE use the sharing buttons! Thanks!

In your charity would you please take a moment look at the requests and to pray for the people about whom you read?

Continued from THESE.

Let’s remember all who are ill, who will die soon, who have died recently, who have lost their jobs, who are afraid.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Some are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand. We should support each other in works of mercy.

If you have prayer requests, post them below.

You have to be registered here and approved to be able to post.

I received this request:

Hello, Fr. Z-
I wrote to you in June, asking for prayers for my unborn baby. Since then, the baby has shown many signs of improvement. Now, I am asking for your prayers that the doctors will find some healthy lung tissue so that they can take steps to preserve his or her life after birth. We have been praying through the intercession of St. Jude, St. Pio, St. Bernardine of Siena, St. John Paul, and Our Lady Undoer of Knots. We would appreciate your prayers immensely. Thank you!

I ask for prayers to that my friend, James, can find a decent job. I ask also for prayers that my daughter-in-law and the baby she’s carrying remain healthy and that she is born without any complications.
Intercessory prayer works! One of my grandsons was diagnosed with dwarfism after months of abnormal prenatal scans. The doctors were making plans on how to deal with it after he was born. But, after asking for and receiving prayers from everyone we know and, I think, due to the intercession of St. Gianna Beretta Molla, at the last pre-birth scan the doctor said he was absolutely normal and that he would not even have suspected a problem had he not known of the history. And my grandson is normal. Well, he doesn’t have dwarfism, anyway (ha).

May Saint Joseph intercede for the confirmation of an important job that will enable me to continue paying for my home—and that, in addition to this opportunity, other sources of income may arise so that I can keep up with the payments.

My housing situation. My lease is up at the end of the month and I found the perfect affordable housing apartment with a dishwasher and in suite laundry, as well as heated underground parking (I live in western Canada where it snows a lot in the foothills of the Rockies.) Getting it would be life changing.

I would like to report an answered prayer, very minor example but worth mentioning. One of my cats (Callie) was due for a vet appointment on Monday morning. The last time we took her to the vet, it was quite a struggle to get her in the cat carrier, we had to chase her all over the house, and my husband and I both got scratched. So I was literally praying all weekend for Callie to get in the carrier calmly. I followed all the tips, set the carrier out days in advance so she and the other cats could acclimate to it…. just as it came time to leave for the appointment, she walked right in of her own free will, and there was no struggle at all! I was so happy I prayed two Rosaries yesterday in gratitude. If you own a cat (or a cat owns you) you’ll understand….
