In churchy news, this caught my eye…
A procession of hundreds of people walked through Paris to return a statue of the Virgin Mary to Notre-Dame Cathedral, five years after a devastating fire.https://t.co/PKw405MbII pic.twitter.com/YXZOZkxL9A

And there’s this…
Cardinal Sarah: “Banning or suspending the Extraordinary Form can only be inspired by the devil. I am of the opinion of Benedict XVI. What was holy and sacred yesterday cannot be condemned to disappear today. What harm does the Traditional Mass cause? What harm?@Card_R_Sarah https://t.co/57UgjlaWOB

My friend Sam is exactly right…
This is frankly delusional. I am rather sure that 99.9 percent of young Catholics have not followed the #Synod and have not read any of the relevant texts. https://t.co/dqrFv22yOH

Wesley is not impressed with the consistory list… or your not signing up.
“one of the most historic moments in their lives, for it has redirected the focus of where the church is going.”
No no, he has a point.
Not the point he thinks he has, but he has a point.
Delusional or just plain lying. This scenario is more likely dozens of people will remember that it happened and ask themselves what that was all about because they don’t remember. Dozens, globally. They will though remember the American election of 2024.
No one I know was waiting with bated breath for news from the Synod. For the most part it was met with indifference, or an occasional sigh of relief when a controversial talking point was not resolved in the way progressives hoped for.
