“ In his first curial appointment, Pope Leo XIV has named Sr Tiziana Merletti, former Superior General of the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor, as Secretary of the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life & Societies of Apostolic Life. She will serve under Sr Simona Brambilla, who was named its prefect in January 2025 & is the first woman to lead a Vatican dicastery.”
Any opinion about this? Is this a holdover Francis appointment that was in the pipeline?
We mostly seem pretty nervous, I think. We would love to return to normal. Were all so hoping we don’t get a reprise of Francis, God forbid.
Seems a good time to say thank you Fr Z. For decades you’ve educated, inspired, and entertained. Sometimes its a thankless job, but in our household we’re appreciative of all your efforts and weve benefited greatly from it.
