The SSPX has issued a powerful response to the Vatican’s recent note discouraging the use of Marian titles such as Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix.
Calling the document an “offense and scandal,” the Society invites all faithful to make reparation this Sunday, November 16.

White has some chances to stall that general plan, for example by 2. Ra7+ Ke7 (Kg7 might lose because the king is too far away from the white pawns) 3. Re7+ KxR 4. b6 Kd8 and then 5. b7/c6 Kc7 and black stops the white pawns from promoting; black does not have a rook in this scenario. He also can try 2. Rxf6+ KxR 3. Kd2 f2 4. Ke2 Rf3 5. KxR f1Q+, in which case the fight is even easier.
