The Admiral Comte de Grasse, whose fleet bottled up Cornwallis at Yorktown making the American victory possible, is interred at Saint-Roch. There is a plaque there placed by the DAR to commemorate him. The church is lovely as this ambo shows. It is on the Rue St Honore in the 1er arrondissement and worth a visit.
