In the Novus Ordo, today is the Feast of St. Monnica, mother of St. Augustine. I have a 1st class relic of her in my Chapel of the Two Trinities.
However, in the Vetus Ordo, I will celebrate Mass for the Feast of St. Joseph Calasanz, a great saint of the mighty Catholic Counter-Reformation. He dedicated his life to the education of children. He founded the Piarists. He was also a member of the Archconfraternity at Santissima Trinità dei Pellegrini, to which I belong. St. Joseph’s body is in the nearby San Pantaleone.
Here are some photos of the church in Rome where he is buried.

In the sacristy of The Parish™ he is depicted in a painting with St. Philip.

St. Joseph Calasanz, pray for us!
A great saint who suffered much in his last years owing to the envy of small and hollow men. He endured it all with humility and patience keeping his heart set on Heaven.
