Some good news in Canada

We need some good news.

In Canada, the Archbishop of Moncton, Guy Desrochers, C.Ss.R., has welcomed the IBP (Institut du Bon Pasteur (IBP), a society of apostolic life of pontifical right established in 2006 under Pope Benedict XVI, with exclusive use of the Traditional Roman Rite. He wrote: “I consider all Catholics, whether practicing or not, following either the older Latin rite of Mass or the reformed rite since Vatican II, to be part of the one flock that Jesus entrusts to me and to my delegates”.

I am always glad to hear that some bishop has welcomed the FSSP, the ICK, and the IBP.

That said, the enemies of those who want the traditional sacred worship of the Latin Church know that, while these groups are pesky, the real danger to their agenda are diocesan priests saying the TLM in regular diocesan churches. That’s why diocesan priests have been so viciously targeted with the Wrath of the Whatever from high atop the Thing. They despise the people who desire the TLM. They are terrified by garden variety priests who celebrate the TLM.  They saw that it was working and that it is still working against odds and their efforts.

Hence, again and again we see that bishops would prefer to see a smoking crater rather than a normal parish with growing numbers of young families, happy, practicing the Catholic Faith being sustained and fostered by the Traditional Latin Mass and other sacraments.
