Oh, how I wish I could be there this time! While I have been to only two of these celebrations, they (and the consistories) are wonderful occasions to celebrate the Church Universal. It’s always quite exciting to watch the priests, monsignori, bishops, archbishops, and cardinals from all over the world meander into the basilica before the Mass begins.

  2. John F. says:

Is it too late for them to correct the spelling of Archbishop Dolan’s name?

  3. SS Peter and Paul for us is Monday (and the end of the fast!)

  4. Randy_in_MN says:

We’re leaving for Rome tomorrow afternoon in a pilgrimage group of over forty led by Father Joseph Johnson, rector of the Cathedral of St. Paul. It’s obvious from the programs that we need to brush up on our Latin, Italian and chant!

  5. TJM says:

I was pleased to see that the Mass is in Latin, save for the readings and prayer of the faithful. I also was very pleased that, per Sacrosanctum
Concilium, that Gregorian Chant had pride of place. Lastly, thank God, they are using the Roman Canon. Tom
