Fantastic. Thanks so much for the gorgeous photos.

The All Soul’s Mass here on the Sunday was splendid but not in Latin. The acting administrator, as there is no bishop at this time, did say a really good thing which warmed my heart. One must be perfect to see God, therefore purgatory is a necessity–if we are not made perfect while on earth.

Fantastic photos. Wish I had thought to take some at our All Souls Day requiem, but I was too busy singing to have managed a camera anyway. We had a High Mass at our FSSP parish and we sang Victoria’s 6-part Requiem. Stopped at a cemetery on the way home to pray for the poor souls. Was a good evening.

  3. HighMass says:

Silly Question here, Was this the Mass in the E.F. as there are no altar cards on the alter. Wonderful post. Sent money to FSSP for Requiem High Mass for Our Faithful departed. What we have omitted in the “rite of Christian Bural” it is to Presumptuous , Requiem High Mass is what needs to return…to our liturgy…as it is very sobering, and reminds one to PRAY for the Deceased Soul/Souls.

[Cards aren’t used by bishops. They use a Pontifical Canon.]

  4. HighMass says:

Wow, How much I have forgotten, Do remember our Bishop in the 1960’s saying Mass at our Parish and his Vestments were on the Altar….Good Memories, Nightmares after the N.O. was put in place by the liberals

11-5-14 at Holy Innocents: had this Mass, complete with the black covered coffin and 4 candles in the aisle. I was only 6 or so when they stopped the Traditional Mass, and I don’t ever remember this one. It was stunningly beautiful!

What was the original use of this particular chapel?

If only enough money could be raised to remove that hideous piece behind the altar.

    Brick by brick I suppose.
