1) Tomorrow, Thursday, June 4, 2015 will be the Feast of Corpus Christi. At the Church of the Holy Innocents, we will have our 6th annual celebration of this beautiful and very Catholic Feast with a Solemn Mass at 6 PM and an outdoors procession in West Midtown Manhattan immediately after. Blessed holy cards will be distributed to the faithful in attendance as they come into the church.*

2) On Friday, June 5, 2015, (first Friday of the month) newly-ordained Fr. Simon Zurita will be saying his traditional (Solemn) Mass of thanksgiving at 6 PM. Fr. Zurita will offer his priestly blessing to the faithful after the Mass, and there will be a very festive reception in the parish hall.

Some years ago I was Madison for business and attended Sunday Mass at Holy Redeemer. What a beautiful church that had escaped the renovators (wreckovators?)!

    Is it still there?

  2. I also spotted this in St. Vincent Ferrer’s bulletin yesterday (it and St. Catherine are being merged):

“Thursday evening, June 4th, at 5.15 pm, Bishop Joseph Perry, Auxiliary Bishop in Chicago, will celebrate a pontifical Mass at the faldstool for the feast of Corpus Christi (Missale Romanum 1962). An outdoor procession of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction will follow. We are delighted that, at the suggestion of the Archbishop of New York, His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Bishop John J. O’Hara, Auxiliary Bishop in New York, will be present for this Mass and procession and will preach.

“All liturgical celebrations will take place at the Church of St Catherine of Siena, 411 East 68th Street. The liturgies are open to the public and all are welcome to participate in them, but seating will be reserved for registered participants (full time and day registration can be made here: http://www.sacraliturgiausa.org). Because we cannot predict the numbers of non-registered attendees, we cannot guarantee that we will have sufficient booklets for those who have not registered.”
