Your Sunday Sermon Notes – Transfiguration 2023

Share the good stuff.

It’s the Feast of the Transfiguration in the Vetus Ordo and also in the Novus Ordo.

Was there a GOOD point made in the sermon you heard at your Sunday Mass of obligation?

Tell about attendance especially for the Traditional Latin Mass. I hear that it is growing. Of COURSE.

Any local changes or (hopefully good) news?

I have some thoughts about the Sunday Epistle reading posted at One Peter Five.  A taste:

God does not cease to watch over us, not when the bishops are good, not when the bishops are bad. He is our constant when fragile men are swept into the raging currents of the world.

Nice to be able to report good points made in the sermon yesterday. The SSPX priest met with our tiny band left without a home or a pastor at our ‘underground’ mass. He pointed out that Jesus took the three leaders up the mountain to teach them the need for courage, perseverance in the face of eventual persecution. The fact that all 3 did flee later shows us how we need to pray for strength to go forward. Yesterday was a onetime gift such as the trip up the mountain to give us hope to go on.
