From Catania for the Feast of St. Agatha…
Another parish is being bullied by the bishop. They are using the Communion rail at the parish and the people like it and want it. The bishop comes, sees what they are doing (aka “sees they are happy”?) and says “Stop using the rail”.
For over a decade the parish has been using the rails. New bishop enters and demands a stop to it. People were upset. I don’t know how many knelt anyways (I would’ve gone to the rail and waited) but at least kid had the courage to drop down.

This is a MUST SEE. The guest, Fr. Kirby, hits it outta da’ park:
More of this will happen, I think. Parishes should have a consideration for security.
An attack on a Catholic priest at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes in Spokane during Mass was captured on camera leading to the arrest of a man.

Nice guy. And he lives in my native place!

Just this past Monday, February 3, the Gospel reading (Novus Ordo) was Mark 5:1-20. In 5:6, ‘Legion’ prostrated himself before the Lord. Seems Satan prostrates himself in front of the Lord but those of us who believe in the Real Presence of the Lord cannot kneel in front of him. Something is seriously wrong…
Again, my 17 year old son’s chess solution:

“Do not judge the bishop negatively.” Preceded by several paragraphs trying to defend the absurd liturgical debacle instituted after Vatican II. “Liturgical unity?” Makes me want to throw up the way this phrase is being used to justify raw hatred of the liturgical traditions of the Church.
While I understand that diocesan priests are stuck in between a rock and a hard place, the constant attempts to pretend that bad actions are not being taken by church leaders all the way up to and including the pope is weak sauce at best, is borderline impugning the truth at worst. Perhaps we will never be fully rid of the cloying, sentimental notion that obedience to church leaders, including those who wish to do harm to the Church, to the Deposit of the Faith, and to our souls and the souls of our children is the greatest of all virtues, but I know I no longer have any patience for it.
It’s not leadership we oppose. If it pleased Heaven to give us a bishop or, dare we hope, a pope with the same vim and vigor to pursue the good and to root out the evil as Donald Trump has shown in his first several weeks of his first term, we’d sing his praises and do everything we could to support him. But I think I speak for many when I say we’re not here to cheer on the bad guys anymore, nor do we have any more patience with the milquetoasts afraid of even noticing that the bad guys are doing bad things or who bend over backwards to sing praises to the bad guys when, out of a hundred bad things they happen to do one good thing.
End the Age of the Wussy Catholic Wimps. Someone herald in the Age of Catholic Men already.
Sorry – I meant “first couple of weeks of his second term” – I apologize for my sloppiness.
I think we all know it’s his *third* term.
lol
At first I thought So was a soccer player.
