ROME 26/4– Day 24: two beautiful saints

The bear bare bones.

Sunrise at 06:26.

Sunset at 19:54.

Ave Maria 20:15.

HOWEVER… my Ave Maria Clock App with the classic Six Hour Clock rings now with the proper Ave Maria pattern at the time of the solar schedule, not the curial cyclical.

Beautifully done…

And…

Two great saints to day.  St. Bernadette (I think of the mother of a dear friend whose name was Bernadette) and St.  Benedict Joseph Labre, a close associate of The Parish™ .

Today’s lunch.  Pizza bianca and mortadella with black truffle.

    Ossa Ursina.

Well, if I can’t have the “vita optima,” I can at least have the “vita optica” and a strange sense of mild amusement.

In some other parts of Italy that would be called foccaccia instead of pizza bianca, the latter appelation being reserved for pizza made with oil and mozzarella and not much else on top, as I’m sure you know Father. Looks tasty anyway, and there’s nothing “wrong” with Roman nomenclature !!
