Masses Pontifical in the traditional form of the Roman Rite must be multiplied.
To that end, here is a beautiful video of a Pontifical Mass celebrated in Germany by the Secretary of my old digs the Pontifical Commission “Ecclesia Dei“, Archbishop Guido Pozzo.
The video is well done. The editor captured many of the significant points of movement that distinguish the Pontifical Mass at the Throne. It seems to be a Votive Mass of the Blessed Virgin.
We should make this a little more visible. There were 176 views when I posted this.
Here in Madison, on Wednesday 31 May, we will have a Pontifical Mass at the Throne with His Excellency Most Reverend Robert C. Morlino, the Extraordinary Ordinary.
Lovely! Who is the organist? I liked her/his playing – very efficient and classy.
What a beautiful church!
The camera work is quite good. I would like to see a similar production for a reverently celebrated and musically rich Roman Rite Mass in the post-conciliar form. Ad orientem of course.
Beautiful vestments! Beautiful treasure cover to the gospels! Beautiful alter and church! Beautiful music! Awesome in the true sense of the word.
Because of your posts and following other Web pages and groups who write about the TLM, my understanding of the richness of our faith is growing and I am turning “ad orientem,” if you will. Although not free from liturgical abuse, our parish has the the most “traditional” mass using Novus Ordo (no TLM in our diocese). I have never seen this form of the mass in the video. It is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it. Thank you, Father, for helping to increase my faith one post at a time. You are in my prayers.
Oh how the reverence shown draws us to understand the vertical instead of the horizontal aspects of the Mass. So many parishioners are looking to “get” something from the Mass instead of recognizing that we are there to offer praise to God. Thanks for the video.
Bishop Morlino is the best.
