“He [Satan] will set up a counter-Church which will be the ape of the Church because, he the devil, is the ape of God. It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content. It will be a mystical body of the anti-Christ that will in all externals resemble the mystical body of Christ. In desperate need for God, whom he nevertheless refuses to adore, modern man in his loneliness and frustration will hunger more and more for membership in a community that will give him enlargement of purpose, but at the cost of losing himself in some vague collectivity.”
“Who is going to save our Church? Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, and the ears to save the Church. Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops act like bishops.”
- Fulton Sheen

A monthly subscription donation means I have steady income I can plan on. I put you my list of benefactors for whom I pray and for whom I often say Holy Mass.
In view of the rapidly changing challenges I now face, I would like to add more $10/month subscribers. Will you please help?

"But if, in any layman who is indeed imbued with literature, ignorance of the Latin language, which we can truly call the 'catholic' language, indicates a certain sluggishness in his love toward the Church, how much more fitting it is that each and every cleric should be adequately practiced and skilled in that language!" - Pius XI
"Let us realize that this remark of Cicero (Brutus 37, 140) can be in a certain way referred to [young lay people]: 'It is not so much a matter of distinction to know Latin as it is disgraceful not to know it.'" - St. John Paul II
Grant unto thy Church, we beseech Thee, O merciful God, that She, being gathered together by the Holy Ghost, may be in no wise troubled by attack from her foes. O God, who by sin art offended and by penance pacified, mercifully regard the prayers of Thy people making supplication unto Thee, and turn away the scourges of Thine anger which we deserve for our sins. Almighty and Everlasting God, in whose Hand are the power and the government of every realm: look down upon and help the Christian people that the heathen nations who trust in the fierceness of their own might may be crushed by the power of thine Arm. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. R. Amen.

Now thats GOOD NEWS!!!
I believe that’s St. Joseph in Richmond, VA…a great Latin Mass diocesan personal parish. Hated leaving there when we had to move out-of-state!!!
Re: The world keeps turning…
I don’t know what tomorrow holds, but I know Who holds tomorrow.
A true story:
Background – My diocesan newspaper, a mostly worthless waste of paper, is called “The Georgia Bulletin”
My daughter ran into the kitchen: “There’s a mosquito! There’s a mosquito!” My wife, who gets huge welts from mosquito bites, reacted immediately, running into the living room yelling “quick! get me a newspaper!”
My daughter grabbed a newspaper and handed it to my wife. I saw what she had done and screeched “No! Not with The Wanderer!” My wife looked at The Wanderer in her hand, dropped it and said “Get The Bulletin! Get The Bulletin!”
After which the mosquito was dispatched and The Wanderer rescued from an terrible fate.
Deo Gratias!
1. Our Religious Education program doesn’t even discuss Communion on the tongue as an option, so all kiddos in their hands.
2. After the Mass, the DRE puts out the kneeler in the middle of aisle for picture.
That’s right, the kiddos kneelt, hands folded for pictures!
This is very good news. What always gets me, though, is that on Good Friday, more than half the congregation will kneel to kiss the cross, some will just genuflect (both good things), but only about 3 or 4 will kneel to receive Holy Communion out of a congregation of about 200-300. Completely boggles my mind.
I was there. My niece received her 1st Holy COmmunion the same day at St. Joseph’s.

First Holy Communion took place at our church two weekends ago. Wish I had
taken a photo. All of the First Communicants received Our Lord kneeling and
on the tongue, and all from the hands of the priest and not an EM.
I agree that looks like Father Adrian, the pastor for St. Josephs’ in Richmond. This past Sunday (May 10th) was the day for First Communions. What is interesting about St. Joseph’s is that it is an excellent redo of a former in-the-round Protestant church. Always good attendance at the 8:30 a.m Mass on Sunday.

Waaaaah! I miss Fr. Adrian and St. Joe’s back in Richmond! Y’all don’t know how good you have it. Especially since Fr. Nichols still drops by from time to time, I’m told. =D
I have more good news: Bishop Garcia of the Diocese of Monterey, California is now allowing those that attend the Latin Mass to receive Holy Communion on the tongue during the Swine Flu outbreak. Only the Latin Mass is allowed this, the NO Masses are not supposed to even shake hands for the sign of peace. Deo Gratias!
