YOUR URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

Please use the sharing buttons!  Thanks!

Continued from THESE.

I get many requests by email asking for prayers. Many requests are heart-achingly grave and urgent.

We should support each other in works of mercy.

As long as my blog reaches so many readers in so many places, let’s give each other a hand.

If you have some prayer requests, feel free to post them below. You have to be registered here to be able to post.

But, registered or not, please take a moment to pray for the people about whom you read here below.

Finally, I have two serious needs. It looks like prayer may be the only way to bring swift help.

  1. I will start things off.

In addition to what I wrote above, there have been some big changes in my life lately. I have some unexpected new obstacles from an unexpected quarter. Please do me the kindness of saying a prayer daily for a while to my guardian angel, and the angel guardians of others whom I will encounter, to smooth and guide all that is done according to God’s will.

  2. lydia says:

Please pray for a 19-year-old man who had another surgery on a brain tumor last night. It was fast growing and kept coming back. Although not cancer it is in a very, very bad spot. Please do pray for him. Thank you.

  8. Angie Mcs says:

    Dear Father Z,

I am praying to your guardian angel to help and protect you in your troubles. I also hope it gives you some strength and comfort to know how much you mean to us all.

  9. Angie Mcs says:

I ask for prayers to get through the daily constant misery of nerve pain of an unknown source. It is unrelenting and has taken over my life for five years. The doctors, and all medical personnel don’t know what itnis and tell me there is no hope for any cure.

I fight the constant temptation to depression and despair. Please pray for me that I can find some comfort and acceptance in what our Lord went through for us.

  10. elestirne says:

I have been struggling with feelings of despair and horrible temptations to blaspheme and doubt the Faith. In addition, I am worried about my siblings and I think, through my own fault, I may have either sprained or broken my thumb. This isn’t really that big of a deal, but most of my recreational activities use my thumb.

  11. Mariana says:

Praying for you, Father, and all others who post here.

Of your charity, please pray for my husband’s conversion – a tough case as he isn’t interested at all, isn’t for or against any Christian denomination, isn’t interested in discovering Holy Mother Church, and sincerely fails to understand my conversion 10 years ago.

  12. UncleBlobb says:

Please pray that I don’t have cancer (and my pathology report is being processed now).

  13. Ygnacia says:

Prayers to St. Anthony have been very powerful for me – here is a link to info about requesting prayer from Saint Anthony’s Franciscan Friars at the Basilica of St. Anthony in Padua, Italy. The Friars will take your intentions to Saint Anthony’s tomb and pray for you.

  17. ByzCath08 says:

Prayers requested for Angela Faddis and her family. She is a married mother of 2 young children who was diagnosed on Easter Sunday 2011 with an aggressive cancer. After learning of the cancer, she said to her husband, who was trying to figure out how to tell the kids about this…Jesus still rose, so we are going to trust.

Her husband posted earlier this week that Angela is rapidly declining and in the final stages of her journey.

  20. mjd says:

John C., married and in his 30’s, has been in ICU for over 3 weeks with the west nile virus. He has paralysis, was on a ventilator for 2 weeks and now has a trach. A secondary virus in his stomach was identified the other day. Doctors are treating it. He is fighting to breathe. His Aunt asks for prayers that his lungs get strong so he can be moved to ICU rehab. We are praying for a miracle through the intercession of Bl. Francis X. Seelos, C.Ss.R.

Complete healing and rapid recovery for Thomas Joseph Pio Stanton and Colton Wilson who both suffer from traumatic brain injuries.

  24. Ellen says:

My daughter just told me that her husband isn’t happy and they are separated. I am devastated – I love him like a son. They have two children. Pray that they find their way back together.

  25. NoraLee9 says:

Please include my family and I in your prayers as we are trying to move near Pequannock, NJ, so that we can have access to the daily sacraments in the EF. I am retired at age 52 from the wild ride which is the life of a NYC Educator, and the one thing I wanted to accomplish in retirement was becoming a Daily Communicant. Holy Innocents has Mass at 6:00, smack in the middle of the dinner hour for us in Queens…. We are cleared to put a down payment on a “Rent-to-Buy” mobile home deal in NJ. It’s on the flood plain in Wayne though. Pray that we are making the right move, and if we are, that all goes better than according to plan. I need one of those miracles promised by Fr. Harding.
You are all in my Rosary for the next week.

  26. Mary Jane says:

Will be praying for all here. Please pray for L and for A.

  27. AdTrinitatemPerMariam says:

Please pray for me and for my parents as I prepare to enter the convent on September 8th, the feast of the birth of Our Lady. :)

  28. Lori Pieper says:

Anything I could say would seem trivial compared to other people’s troubles. . . but if you have time, remember me in your prayers – I am facing severe financial difficulties, plus health troubles with no health insurance, and am also balancing an enormous load of work from full time job and part-time small publishing business, plus the conference I am planning (almost alone). I will try to remember to pray for all here.

  29. AnAmericanMother says:

    My Rosary for all here.
I would ask your prayers that a friend’s difficulty be removed – she is in ill health and has five miniature horses that she can no longer care for (would anybody like a mini or two? we deliver.)

  30. Catholictothecore says:

Prayers being offered to your guardian angel, Fr. Z., and for everyone else as well. Please pray for me too.

  31. Carolvoss says:

Praying that the Lord’s Will will be carried out in your situations, Father, and will remember your intentions in my daily Rosary through the month of September.

Please add my intentions to the list: a) Renewal of faith for my son, who has managed to get involved in neopaganism, b) a favorable outcome for the healing of knee and back injuries for myself.

To all: Please be assured I will remember all the intentions mentioned here in my prayers.

  32. Marie Teresa says:

After reading each and every prayer request, mine seems very selfish, but nonetheless, please pray for me.

A year ago, my confessor did something twisted in Confession. He’s the one with the problem, but as a result, after nearly 20 years of frequent Confession and daily Mass, I can barely bring myself to set foot in church for Mass on Sunday. I haven’t gone to Confession since then.

I don’t even know how to begin to trust God again, much less the Sacrament of Confession – and certainly not a priest.

I will offer my Rosary this morning for all of you. Thank you, Fr. Z.

  33. VexillaRegis says:

@Marie Teresa: I will ask S:t Michael to accompany you to a great confessor. You have my sympathy – such things can be devastating.

  34. ray from mn says:

Please pray for a good friend of mine, a recent convert, who is in the hospital awaiting surgery for the treatment of pancreatitis and gall bladder problems. Thank you, Father.

I do pray regularly for all of your prayer intentions. It is good to know that there is an actual list. I will start consulting it regularly.

  35. chantgirl says:

Please pray for a Marine who just commited suicide. He was a friend of my brother, who is also a Marine. They see such terrible, terrible things over in Afghanistan, and feel so much guilt, even if their only crime was to survive when others didn’t. My brother has related stories of the brutalized women that would almost daily come seeking their help, and of being so angry seeing the field of opium poppies that they would “accidentally get their convoy of vehicles lost in the fields”, so that the crop couldn’t be turned into heroin. There is so much that they don’t even tell their loved ones when they return, and some of them despair. I was already worried about the depression and guilt my brother was battling, coming home after several deployments. Now one of his friends has commited suicide and I’m more worried. Please say a prayer for those who have glimpsed hell while defending their country, and do not have the spiritual reserves to deal with it.

  36. LaudemGloriae says:

Please pray for my daughter aged 9 who is autistic and non-verbal. By administrative error she has been placed in a public classroom that cannot meet the needs of her IEP. However, we are told we cannot change her placement unless we wait and provide proof of academic failure. Seven families are stuck in the class without recourse. We have an attorney now and important meetings over the next 2 weeks. Please pray that the hearts of the administrators will be softened and that exceptions can be made, and if that is not possible, to help our family find the money to send our daughter to a private school.

I pray for you all as well. Pax Christi.

  37. Laura98 says:

For all your prayer requests. Please also pray for my daughter who will need to under go endoscopic surgery to find out what is wrong with her stomach. May Our Lord and Redeemer Bless you all.

  38. AnnAsher says:

    Please pray for:
The success of this homeschool year. Off to an excellent start!
A possible new job for my husband – much needed. Would be working directly for the Church – would be really nice. Would be in struggling diocese – will need prayers.
Thanksgiving for health and shelter and home.

  39. EmmyDy says:

Please pray for me and the baby in my womb. My last child was miscarried, and I am fearful for my new little one. Please pray for our health. Also, please pray for me that I might find employment. I am very worried, and feel very hopeless. I will remember you all in my prayers. Thank you very much.

  40. Andkaras says:

@EmmyDy, I have had a few miscarriages myself. Strange though is that if I had not had two of them ,I would not have two of my living children because of the time table. Praying for you and also all of those who say the” wrong things” to women who have miscarried.

  41. Bea says:

Prayers to your guardian angel and to those of others involved will be said daily. May God resolve this according to His Holy Will for the Greater Glory and Honor of God.

  42. Maria says:

Please pray for Pope Benedict’s safe trip this weekend … thank you …
