14 Sept - Madison, WI: PONTIFICAL Mass - TLM

Could you please post this announcement on your blog?
Bishop Robert Morlino (Diocese of Madison, WI) will celebrate a Pontifical High Mass at the Throne on Sept 14 at 2pm at Holy Redeemer Church (120 W. Johnson Street, Madison, WI 53703). This Mass is offered in thanksgiving for the 1st year anniversary of the implementation of Summorum Pontificum. The choirs will sing Gregorian chants and Sacred polyphony. There will be a reception after Mass.
While in Madison on business this past April, I attended a NO mass there this past April. This is an old church with a BEAUTIFUL main altar that invokes the Holy Trinity in a powerful manner.
If you are in the area, get there. Parking is a bit tight.
Your Excellency, do not tear down this church!

Solemn High Mass in the Extraordinary Form will be celebrated on Oct. 7, Feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, at 7 pm, Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Sacramento CA. It will be followed by Rosary and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The Mass will be offered in atonement for the sins of abortion and in cooperation with the 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil. Father Robt. Novokowsky, FSSP, Pastor of St. Stephen the First Martyr will celebrate the Mass assisted by parochial vicars, Fr. Matthew McNeely, FSSP, and Fr. Frederico Masutti, FSSP. The parish schola cantorum will chant and the mixed choir and choristers will offer polyphony. the choristers are ages 8-12, taught under the rules of the Royal School of Choristers. They are unique in the modern traditional world, keeping alive an ancient custom.

Comment by Gloria — 12 September 2008 @ 12:45 amNote: This will be only the second time in almost 40 years that the TLM will be celebrated at the Cathedral. The first was last year on the Commemoration of the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima, also celebrated by the priests from St. Stephen’s. The people in the nearly full Cathedral saw 54 serious, well-trained altar boys, ages 7 through teens in procession and sitting through the Mass, hands on knees and kneeling or standing with hands folded properly. Many had never been to any TLM before, so the whole experience seemed to overwhelm some. We hope that this year the Cathedral will be full.
“Pontifical High Mass” means TLM/EF, correct?
