Every Latin Church sacristy should have an Ordo for both the Ordinary and the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite. Every sacristy… even if the older form of Mass isn’t celebrated at the church.
A while back I posted about the 2016 Ordo provided by St. John Cantius HERE.
You have an alternative in the Ordo that is put out by the Fraternity of St. Peter. Order HERE
This year’s is pretty much, mutatis mutandis, the same as last year’s. And why wouldn’t it be? Right?
NO… WAIT…. there is a difference!
On facing pages they now provide for recording MASS INTENTIONS!
That’s a great new option.
Get your Ordo now.
As someone who is relatively new to the Extraordinary Form, is this something that is exclusively kept in sacristies, or is it beneficial for the faithful to have their own copy of the Ordo?
Something I’d love to see: an ordo specific for the Baronius Press Breviary. There’s one for the Monastic Diurnal (http://www.saintsshallarise.blogspot.com/).
What if the newer form of the Mass isn’t celebrated at the church ;-?
Father, two very good Ordo booklets promoted thus far…. There is another! especially for those in England and Wales. The Latin Mass Society Ordo is the only edition with the English and Welsh Calendar included in addition to the General Calendar.
