Also perhaps drop by and give them some encouragement on their blog.
I will gladly pray for all who support Summorum Pontificum.
I am so hopeful about the prospect of a reapproachment with the TR, and I pray that it may pave the way for a more full union with SSPX, as well.
I have been praying for them since I first heard of their position on the Good Friday prayers. It is very encouraging to hear of people being reconciled to Rome.
I think I might know one of the characters who sends hate mail to them (or at least enjoys every letter of every word of that hate mail). He’s another C.Ss.R. who has gone in for women’s ordination and clown Masses. Such people may need more prayers than those who are persecuted. “Love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you…” It’s when we pray for our persecutors and keep a sense of humour that we know that we’re on the right track.
I’ve heard that another priest left FSSPX and joined IGP.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Fr. di Lorenzo is correct. There is no room for tradition in the Congregation once known for its loyalty to the Church and her teaching. It is hated and feared. Pray for our Transalpine brothers. And please, pray for us also, that we might once again be faithful sons of St. Alphonsus.
I have the greatest admiration for the TAR.
What a gallant band of priests, throughly blessed by St. Alphonsus.
We are already part of our rosary for them but will do more.
Hate mail? Wickedly stupid things? Words fail me. There is no place for this self-harming within the Body of Christ.
I’ll be asking Our Lady of Good Counsel to help the people who think hate mail is ever the way to deal with anything.
And the Transalpine Redemptorists, and the poor priest mentioned in Father’s earlier thread, will be very much on my prayer list.
