Nancy Pelosi Says Spirit of Susan B. Anthony Spoke to Her in White House

I think I had better post this without much additional commentary.

From CNSNews:

Nancy Pelosi Says Spirit of Susan B. Anthony Spoke to Her in White House

By Eric Scheiner

(CNSNews.com) House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) told a recent gathering of the Women’s Political Committee that the spirits of suffragists Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Alice Paul spoke to her at the White House.

Pelosi said she heard them say: “At last we have a seat at the table…”

Pelosi says, “He’s (Bush) saying something to the effect of we’re so glad to welcome you here, congratulations and I know you’ll probably have some different things to say about what is going on–which is correct. But, as he was saying this, he was fading and this other thing was happening to me.”

“My chair was getting crowded in,” said Pelosi. “I swear this happened, never happened before, it never happened since.

“My chair was getting crowded in and I couldn’t figure out what it was, it was like this,” she said.

“And then I realized Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, Alice Paul, Sojourner Truth, you name it, they were all in that chair, they were,” said Pelosi. “More than I named and I could hear them say: ‘At last we have a seat at the table.’ And then they were gone…”

Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton were activists in the women’s rights movement during the mid to late 1800’s. The Susan B. Anthony List, which works for pro-life women’s leadership in government, uses her as a namesake. The organization claims Anthony and Stanton were strong pro-life supporters.

WOW.

I wonder if she has been listening to Barbara Marx Hubbard.

  1. Cathy says:

    Is she possessed?

  2. catholicmidwest says:

    Maybe. Certainly delusional.

  3. Supertradmum says:

Well, we all knew she was delusional about her Catholic faith. Self-deceit leads to all types of disjoints between reality and the mind.

She should know from her faith, which I doubt she does, that souls are in heaven, hell, or purgatory, and those things she saw and heard are either the fabrications of her very disturbed mind, or you-you-what?

  4. If i recall correctly Elizabeth Stanton was avidly pro life. Perhaps she hears only what she wants to hear. Poor woman needs to be given an extensive Examen and a thorough confession of sins. With repentance and forgiveness she will stop seeing such visions. We can only pray that such will happen to her.

  5. Andy Lucy says:

Every day, I think to myself that DC cannot get any more bizarre and creepy than it already is… it just cannot get any worse. And then, something like this comes along and pushes the edge of the bizarre and creepy envelope. Nancy Pelosi is the Chuck Yeager of bizarre and creepy…

“There was a demon that lived in the city. They said whoever challenged her would fail of re-election. Their campaigns would fold up, their staff would be accused of being hateful and bigoted, and they would just surrender. The demon lived in the city of Washington, the District of Columbia, a former marsh, where the swamp gas rising from Foggy Bottom would be so thick that even common sense could no longer make it through. She lived behind a barrier of emotion and twisted logic through which they said no person could ever pass a sentient, rational thought. They called that demon Nancy.”

  6. CharlesG says:

Didn’t Mrs. Clinton communicate with Eleanor Roosevelt in the White House?

  7. Ellen says:

Nancy Pelosi evidently does not know that Anthony was anti-abortion.

“When a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is a sign that, by education or circumstances, she has been greatly wronged.”

  8. disco says:

If she really did hear those voices, then I have to assume either mental illness or demonic influence

  9. Supertradmum says:

Do you not remember POTUS’s mother-in-law doing Santeria in the White House in 2009? The White House aide who reported this was not in the White House very long after the report that Obama got angry at this. It was reported by a Townhall journalist who used the term Santeria, which is a witchcraft method using Hispanic and African elements. Try and find the article now. I remember this clearly, as having come across Santeria in the States and knowing how dangerous it is.

    Could be left overs….

  10. TNCath says:

I think it’s time her doctor review her medications.

  11. Bryan Boyle says:

So, just how deep did they inject the Botox?

    Wow. What a whack job.

It wasn’t very long ago (in relative terms…) that singularly hearing voices and channeling spirits was considered a sign of a seriously disturbed individual. Yes, I know that could include some of our mystics…but, Susan B. Anthony? Abraham Lincoln? Rutherford B. Hayes? Liberace? None of those are particularly edifying when compared to the Blessed Mother or the Archangel, eh?

Well, on some level, I guess if your true beliefs are attached to the Relativistic Religion of Secularism, you’ll be more in tune to the secular gods.

  12. Suburbanbanshee says:

    1. Let us hope this is only Pelosi’s use of the rhetorical device known to the Irish as “aisling” — pretending for poetic purposes to have had a dream or vision. Because otherwise “discernment” comes into play, and this one doesn’t discern out as a good thing. I would rather criticize her rhetorical skills, personally.

    2. If she’s serious… this is why we should pray for those in public life, especially politicians we don’t like. Politics is weird enough, without any outside influences or inside delusions coming into play.

  13. PostCatholic says:

““And then I realized Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, Alice Paul, Sojourner Truth… ”

Unitarians and Quakers, all of them.

  14. Christine says:

Looks like Nancy is off her meds.

  15. norancor says:

You. just. can’t. make. this. stuff. up.

Someone should ask her when The Word final talks to her, because the woman seriously needs help if she is communicating with the spiritual realm in such a manner, which such things are almost always demons posing as the dead.

  16. LisaP. says:

    This is hilarious.

You know how folks are accused all the time of staying married and going to church every Sunday because they are running for office and the general voting population likes their politicians to be married church goers?

This just signals that Americans are starting to be more likely to believe in “Paranormal” than in God these days, and the politicians have to get their connection in.

  17. dominic1955 says:

Definitely “aisling” and definitely just a rhetorical device.

However, then we have to examine what a pompous windbag she is. She is the self-proclaimed Promise of Ages of the feminist movement, she alone is the heiress of all these suffragets and they, like so many putti in a baroque painting, have crowned her with the laurels of all feminist striving and fighting for justice against patriarchal oppression.

Sheesh, I’m sure impressed…Actually, I would be less disturbed if she was just a verifiable raving lunatic.

  18. Darren says:

Re: disco: “If she really did hear those voices, then I have to assume either mental illness or demonic influence”

Considering all the damage she has done… I strongly consider the latter.

  19. Jonathan says:

I’m not a fan of Pelosi, so don’t accuse me of being on her side. But couldn’t any of these critiques of Pelosi’s “shewing” (that she’s possessed, mental, or manipulative) also be applied to any of our Church-approved apparitions by secularists? And it’s not as though we don’t have our own tradition of spurious visionaries. What was that village in Herzegovina?

  20. Gretchen says:

I truly think that woman has devolved into moral idiocy. Her behavior reminds me of a couple of the characters in That Hideous Strength by C. S. Lewis, which btw, is prophetic of what is going on in DC and the West.

  21. Central Valley says:

DÓMINE sancte, Pater omnípotens, ætérne Deus, Pater Dómini nostri Jesu Christi, qui illum réfugam tyránnum et apóstatam gehénnae ígnibus deputásti, quique Unigénitum tuum in hunc mundum misísti, ut illum rugiéntem contéret: velóciter atténdem accélera, ut erípias hóminem ad imáginem et similitúdinem tuam creátum, a ruína et dæmónio meridiáno. Da, Dómine, terrórem tuum super béstiam, quæ extérminat vineam tuam. Da fidúciam servis tuis contra nequíssimum dracónem pugnáre fortíssime, ne contémnat sperántes in te, et ne dicat, sicut in Pharaóne, qui jam dixit: Deum non novi, nec Israël dimítto. Urgeat illum déxtera tua potens discédere a fámulo tuo NANCY PELOSI, ne diútius præsúmat captívum tenére, quem tu ad imáginem tuam fácere dignátus es, et in Fílio tuo redemísti: Qui tecum vivit et regnat in unitáte Spíritus Sancti Deus, per ómnia sæcula sæculórum.

  22. Tradster says:

And just how is she supposed to have known who they all were? Did they take turns introducing themselves, or wear “Hello, my name is…” tags?

  23. DFWShook says:

Pelosi should seriously consider taking Beano with her meals.

  24. APX says:

    “I hear dead people.”

Just say “no” to drugs, kids.

  25. kelleyb says:

I suggest that excessive botox is harmful to the brain.

  26. irishgirl says:

    Oh. My. Goodness.
Is this woman nuts, or what? I can’t even bear to hear her voice on the radio; I have to turn the volume down and resist the temptation to hurl the radio across the room!
I think the botox has gone to her brain!
She is definitely in need of an exorcism!
Why do we have such weird people in public office? Aren’t there any good and decent candidates out there?
DC is a swamp, literally! We need to drain it!

  27. acricketchirps says:

@Tradster: And just how is she supposed to have known who they all were?

I don’t know about Nancy, but speaking for myself, I prefer to visit wikipedia and memorize the faces in the pictures of all the famous dead people I’m hoping will contact me during Whitehouse visits.

  28. Kathleen10 says:

I think Supertradmum is correct, as usual. Whatever she experienced, her comments sound sincere. We all know that when demons come to us, they can appear as angels of light, and it could be easy to interpret a feeling or a visitation as friendly. We put our own spin on it, and she may have had an occult experience right there in the White House, and I would definitely link it to Santeria being practiced there. It does not help that pro-abortion people fill the White House, people that are in many ways, naturally opposed to Jesus Christ and the Gospel. This would be carte blanche for spirits. They could easily present themselves to Nancy Pelosi in a form that she could interpret however her spirit disposes her to interpret them. Feminists visiting her, giving her a stamp of approval. The program “Long Island Medium” takes advantage of this type of thing. (The star is a medium who channels demons who appear for all intents and purposes the departed family members of her clients).

The man who was called the Miami Zombie, the man who attacked the homeless man and bit off part of his face for no apparent reason? They don’t know at all why he did that, and it was horrific. No mental illness, no psychiatric issues, huge drug use. He was employed, had a girlfriend, etc. Then he goes berserk and chews a man’s face. Why? A clue may come from his place of birth, Haiti. Haiti is voodoo central.
When dark forces break through the veil and interact with the living, the best thing to do is to use holy water, crucifixes, and the most powerful deterrent of all, the Name of Jesus Christ, the “Vanquisher”. This they cannot stand.

But who thinks this name is being used correctly right now in our beautiful White House, the White House that belongs to all Americans? I don’t think I would even want to tour the White House right now.
So I don’t doubt Nancy Pelosi’s report. After the current residents leave, they need to have a priest come through and bless the White House, open the windows and let in some fresh air. Let’s hope and pray that day is in January, 2013.

  29. JacobWall says:

Fr. Z, I don’t think it’s Barbara Marx Hubbard she has been listening to; I think envisioning visitations from dead activists is too concrete for the enlightened spirituality of Barbara Marx Hubbard. However, didn’t Hugo Chavez claim that he was visited by the spirit of Simon Bolivar? Maybe Nancy Pelosi has been talking to or listening to him (Chavez, not Bolivar.)

  30. Interesting to note that Nancy and K. Sabelius are both alumnae of Trinity College in Washington run by the Notre Dame sisters. I wonder what impact that had on both of them in their deranged notion of theology?

  31. Angie Mcs says:

Some weeks ago I mentioned a You Tube video with Archbishop Fulton Sheen wherein he talks about the word ” diabolical” as a rendering apart, a loss of unity, and how I felt I could see this reflected in Nancy Pelosi, the stress and confusion, as she struggles between trying to hold on to what is left of her faith and still keep her place as one of the bigwigs in Washington.

Can this latest story of hers be truly diabolical and/or an example of mental illness, as she continues to become less rational? Or is she just suggesting that these women, all instrumental in the women’s movement, have come together, so that Nancy can make a political statement that under this administration women are finally, gloriously, close to winning their battles, the equality they all fought so hard for. Hmmm..shall we take each of them and see exactly what they stood for or what they would stand for today? As Ellen mentioned, Susan Anthony was anti- abortion. But most people would only recognize the name as that of a famous suffragette.

In either case, “something is rotten” in the state..something truly diabolical or political, expressed as a kind of 19th century style seance where the dead have gathered to communicate to the living. The women meeting in St. Louis would certainly adore this little “gathering” of Nancy’s, but will Washington secretly agree that she has finally gone over the top?

  32. TZ says:

Sounds to me like the White House is haunted.

  33. aviva meriam says:

I remember when Hilary Clinton “channeled” Eleanor Roosevelt.

Why do politicians think this kind of stuff increases their appeal? All this does is serve to remind us of just how disconnected from reality they are. It’s creepy.

  34. Fuquay Steve says:

I wish she conversed with Catherine of Sienna – she would have exhibited a remarkable transformation.

  35. Sword40 says:

Appears to be having 60’s-70’s LSD flashbacks. I’ll pray for her poor miserable soul.

  36. wmeyer says:

Sword40, I thought the LSD flashbacks were indicated at least when she said “we have to pass it so you can find out what’s in it.”

  37. jessicahoff says:

So, she hears voices? Any chance of her being sectioned?

  38. wmeyer says:

Jessica, I am afraid a great many members of Congress are delusional; after all, they seem all to believe that government can grow forever, and that government spending need not be balanced by revenue.

  39. Joseph-Mary says:

The vice president of the true Susan B. Anthony list is coming to speak at our 40 Days for Life opening conference. I rather think SHE is the one with the spirit of SBA.

  40. Springkeeper says:

It seems abundantly clear from her words and actions that Ms. Pelosi is no longer on listening terms with the Holy Spirit so has been led astray by whatever other spirits happen along.

“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through places without water, seeking rest; and not finding, he saith: I will return into my house whence I came out. And when he is come, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then he goeth and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and entering in they dwell there. And the last state of that man becomes worse than the first.” Luke 11:24-26 Douay-Rheims

  41. rcg says:

And Mary Shelley added, “And we are legion….”

  42. JohnE says:

“…and then I shed many tears because no one who sat in the chair could break open the pro-abortion scrolls of legislation and bring forth its laws. Then I saw one that looked like a Speaker of the House that seemed to have been fired, who was me. Then all the people in the chair said to me, ‘Worthy are you to open the scrolls and speak nonsense’. ”

I was also reminded of the “dodged a bullet” Camry commercial they’ve been showing in the Olympics.

  43. JKnott says:

Fuquay Steve, “I wish she conversed with Catherine of Sienna – she would have exhibited a remarkable transformation.” Good point
Seems that Nancy and her visitors from beyond think it’s more important to have an anti-life and political seat in Congress than a pro-life, love- and- obey -God seat in heaven. This was more likely the new/old evangelization from Gehenna.

  44. All those spirits were appalled that Pelosi had a seat at the table and they were desperately trying to push her out of it once and for all. Pelosi just didn’t get the message for some reason and found a way to misinterpret it. I wish her constituents would give the spirits a hand; unfortunately, spirits don’t vote.

  45. Indulgentiam says:

sounds to me like she’s having delusions all right; delusions of grandeur. She is likening herself to all these women, 2 of them feminists. Pandering to the feministas…hmmm i wonder what new position in government she has her eye on. According to the CNS article this was not the first time she trotted out this fairy story. She has been pushing it on every campus that will have her. i’m willing to bet that the only time nancy hears voices is after she’s belted back a few. The old gals been in Washington for a quarter of a century so she’s crazy, yep crazy like a fox. i’m willing to bet she’s angling. i think nancy poo has her eye on the white house. and why not? she probably figures; “shoot if the unwashed masses will elect a wet behind the ears commie why not the first female Speaker, the highest-ranking female politician in American history who channels feminists! yeah! why not me!” after obama i’m not so sure its not possible

  46. dominicansoul says:

Pelosi’s lying. No matter how hard one tries, you can’t get all those women to sit together on one chair, its humanly impossible. Nice try, Nancy. ;)

  47. Bea says:

    Cathy says:
    Is she possessed?
Cathy: that was my first thought.

    LisaP. says:
    This is hilarious.
LisaP: Much more than that, This is scary

In an interview with Fr. Amorth (the Vatican’s exorcist) When asked why there were not more exorcisms performed in the USA, his reply was “The Whole Country is possessed”

Prayer and Fasting, our only solution.

  48. Kathleen10 says:

Whoever made the point that she might have been making a kind of pitch to feminists, that could be it, if not the dark spirits visiting her, which I wouldn’t rule out. When you support abortion, dark spirits are going to visit you at some point. brrrrrrr!

Yes, a ploy to appeal to feminists, young women, to pick up that banner, and realize that Nancy is carrying it for us! Onward, onward women! Don’t worry, we’ve got it covered! We will continue our fight against the oppressive MEN, the patriarchal MEN who commit so much evil against us. We will prevail, young women (or old women)! Put your confidence in ME, because I have been sanctioned by our forefeminists, who gave me their blessing when they visited me in my chair, pressed in around me and said “at last we have a place at the table”. (all bow heads and give thanks) How utterly corny.

Yes, Nancy seems to have had a dark, occult experience, or pandering to feminists. It’s a toss up.

  49. Cathomommy says:

    >Andrew Saucci said:
    >I wish her constituents would give the spirits a hand; unfortunately, spirits don’t vote.

    Except in Chicago, right? ;)
