1) Our temporary priest is now our parish priest!!! We’re all so happy! :-)
2) Confession times have now been extended due to needing to have more time for Confession! That rocks the house.
3) My novel is coming out at the end of this week. :-)
4) One of my kids is on a new med, and may God grant that it’s the right one. *sigh*
I was paid this week for the first week in my new job. Thanks to all for your prayers.
I was rear-ended at a rather high speed a week ago, and the car was totaled, but all pain was gone by Friday and I was able to replace the car quickly with a surprisingly high insurance payout, given the age of the car. The other driver was not hurt either, though he was at fault for careless driving. Ultimately this was a great lesson in ow we don’t know what is coming–whether in front or behind–and that we must prepare our souls for anything. It didn’t quite sink in until I saw all the boxes on the police report for fatalities, but any time I go to the grocery in the future I hope to remember how thankful I should be that I am still able to buy a gallon of milk.
Our son was baptized in the Extraordinary Form this morning. God is good!
Found a lovely photo (at a yard sale) of Pius XII wearing the papal Tiara in the sedia gestatoria, and I’m going to frame it and hang it up in my home.
* RCIA officially kicked off this week at our parish.
* Attended a conference on Our Lady of Fatima (which was blessed with an abundance of participants!)
* I came home from the conference with a new crucifix.
* Received a message from another member of the conference committee that they built a kneeler with me in mind…and it will be here this week (Hooray for kneelers!)
Two of my dearest friends were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony yesterday, on the husband’s patronal feast day. It was a very reverent, beautiful Low Mass, and the full Exhortation was offered (http://www.sanctamissa.org/en/resources/books-1962/rituale-romanum/66-matrimony-instruction.html). I think that all married couples should have to read the Exhortation together on their anniversary–it is a most powerful encouragement to live the sacrament in holiness daily.

I’m going to New York on Wednesday for 2 weeks for a “come and see visit” with the Missionaries of Charity! :D what a gift! Please pray for me!
My seven year old son, who will be making his Sacraments this year, sang all throughout Mass. He’s a bit tone deaf, but it is beautiful to hear him sing, ‘Oh Sacrament most holy, Oh Sacrament divine….’

2. I just recently discovered a weekly TLM near me. Needless to say, I’ll be going whenever possible.
Our godson received all his sacraments of initiation(baptism, chrismation and holy communion) today. As always, it was an overwhelming experience.
Thanks to a link I found on Fr. Z’s site I was able to make a couple of birettas and they were “sanctified” by being used at a TLM yesterday. The birettas Fr. Z linked to are unbelievably easy to make, and I encourage anyone with a bit of spare time to have a go. A friend is being ordained Priest in two weeks’ time, and I know what to give him as a present now. Thank goodness he doesn’t read English, so he won’t log on here and spoil the surprise…
1) After 2 weeks not being able to receive due to a need to go to confession, finally able to receive the Body of our Lord yesterday, low Mass in the Extraordinary Form. Seems like it’s been months. Was trying to do a better job of praying the Mass along with the priest, focusing on the different parts and what they meant. There is so much there, even a lifetime is not enough to really grasp it. Perhaps that is how it is meant to be, a mystery that we never totally understand until we get to Heaven.
2) Going on vacation for a week starting today, mostly a working vacation but some fun activities planned. Most importantly, the whole family will be together for this week.

It is with great joy that we announce that the Bishop of Trenton, David M. O’Connell, C.M., will celebrate a Pontifical Solemn High Mass on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at St. Hedwig Church for the Feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Our first celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass occurred on November 27, 2011, on the First Sunday of Advent.
My newest daughter, Dymphna, was born just recently.

Thanks, Darren! Although St. Dymphna’s main patronage is of course for those with mental and nervous disorders, she is also a patron for family happiness. Either way, with three other children (so far) we may need her intercession in many ways!
As of October 1, my city, Prague (The Czech Republic) has got another place where the TLM is said regularly. The former priest of my parish is involved, so should you ever come here, at 5pm every Sunday there is the TLM at the Church of the Annunciation:
