ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — George Zimmerman helped rescue four people from an overturned vehicle in central Florida last week, just days after he was cleared of all charges in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, officials said Monday.
Seminole County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Kim Cannaday said in a statement that deputies responding last Wednesday afternoon to the wreck in Sanford — the Orlando suburb where Martin was shot — found Zimmerman and another man had already helped a couple and their two children out of a flipped SUV off the road near Interstate 4. They were not hurt.
Zimmerman spoke with a deputy at the scene and then left, the sheriff’s office statement said. He did not see the crash happen.
This is believed to be the first time Zimmerman, 29, has been seen publicly since his acquittal on a second-degree murder charge in the 17-year-old Martin’s death in February 2012. Zimmerman’s parents and his attorneys have said in interviews since the verdict that they fear for his safety because of those who may not agree with it.

I never agreed with people who would just throw Zimmerman in the wheel wells to placate people when arguing how he shouldn’t be convicted.
Had the discussion with a good friend and he tried to throw that jive at me about “he was probably some bumbling idiot who was trying to be tuff”. I trust no media narrative and was convinced he was probably a decent guy who did the right thing and then had to protect himself.
This only validates my gut feeling. The neighborhood watches in Flint walk around with baseball bats.. Even here in a Democrat utopia they’re stopping Trayvon to see what was going down…

Hardly the action of a cold-blooded murderer, is it? The man is completely consistent. I pray that he and the jurors, as well as his family are protected and that the rule of law is respected by more people. I rarely follow court cases, but there was never a case against this man worthy of a trial. The prosecution did not have enough evidence against him, period. God bless our judicial system and God bless the freedom of Americans to be jurors and make good decisions in the face of pressure.
Supertradmum, agreed. Sadly, I’m not sure the jury would reach the same conclusion if asked to render it again. Not many people today can withstand the kind of heat going on since this verdict, which did seem completely right and just. It appears there are a number of Americans who are not interested in the law or it’s application. They are interested in getting what they want only. Reason, logic, facts, need not apply. Terribly sad and extremely frustrating. We’ve come so far, to get set back by race-baiters and followers who only seem to believe what the media and their “leaders” tell them.
I’m very worried about George Zimmerman, his family, his legal team. They are all getting many death threats. Where is our President and Department of Justice on these death threats. Where is justice for little baby Anthony, 17 months old and shot in Georgia by two African american thugs who tried to rob Anthony’s mother? I’m sorry to say we’ve got one more thing added to the list of grievances today. Saul Alinsky’s (Obama’s radical guru) tactics of overwhelming the populace is working very well. We hardly have energy for addressing Benghazi or the IRS.
Why, oh WHY won’t this fellow stay in his car??????

Just one more example, of several that we know about, of George Zimmerman putting others first. He has a history of this. His family is Catholic. With all the politically engineered hate and death threats being thrown at him he could have easily passed by the people in that accident for his own safety, but he didn’t.
I think he is a good man, with a huge cross to bear in the future, thanks to this shamelessly evil administration with its Gestapo-like behavior. I have been praying very hard for him as well as for his family and will continue to do so.
Anybody see Bill O’Reilly tonight? It’s not a show I typically watch, I prefer conversation, but tonight he hit a homerun, and said some hard truths that needed to be said. Wow. Maybe the good that could come out of this frustrating absurdity is our nation facing some facts and ending the climate of fear of saying “the wrong thing”. I admit, we are all properly paranoid, and it’s not healthy.
George Zimmerman reminds us of the parable of the Good Samaritan.
Now they know he is still in the area and will hunt him down.
What bothers me is all those people from the President on down who are supposedly concerned about Black youth, if that is the case why not consider the number of them who have died from shootings in places such as Chicago’s South Side. Of course this is a much more complex issue involving factors such as the breakdown of the family and the collapse of the public education system, not things that can be easily demagogued the way “racism” can.
Forget shootings, JonPatrick. Abortion is likely to take them out first.
