I wrote down some things that people I knew were saying, because it showed a part of their personalities I hadn’t seen before. What was coming out were not rational criticisms or frustrations. It was dark, and it worried me.
My own response was a disgusted sense of relief. That feeling hasn’t changed.
My wife and I took a little guilty pleasure in tuning into NPR. The somber voices and incredulity when they called PA, WI and MI, were a thing to behold! It might have been one of the only real positives of the whole election, but I’m tempted to say it was worth it!
