UPDATE 31 August 2020:
I received a note from Jennifer. She and her family and the offices of Ruth Institute are in Lake Charles, LA, directly impacted by hurricane Laura.
We are all uninjured. However the Ruth Institute offices are completely trashed. Total loss. There is no telling when we will be able to record another episode of the Dr. J show. So whatever the sound problems were that you observed before, will be starting from scratch the next time we do an interview.
Our beautiful, newly restored cathedral in Lake Charles made it through intact except for a few roof tiles. They are having the regular schedule of masses. Our bishop said mass at 9:30 today. They’ll have Latin Mass today at five as usual.You can tell all of our friends. The officials are telling us that there will be no power or any other services for at least 30 days. Residents are allowed to come and go as they please. But they need to be advised that they will have to be self-sufficient. Our Internet connection is spotty. We really really appreciate everybody show of support and love and comfort. We certainly appreciate the prayers. I hope people will forgive me if I cannot answer everyone immediately. That’s just the way it is right now. We are so grateful for all the first responders. The guys in the power trucks, the tree trimmers, The cops and of course our clergy.

Friends, I recommend a viewing of this video interview by my friend Jennifer Roback-Morse with author Paul Kengor.
Kengor wrote a great book about John Paul II and Ronald Reagan, and, this summer, The Devil and Karl Marx.
The interview was sparked in part by an article in Teen Vogue, targeting girls for utter filth. Kengor’s reaction at American Spectator HERE.
What is really interesting is Kengor’s brief presentation of Karl Marx as the total slime and deep racist that he was.
This amused me, given BLM’s attachment to Marxism!
