Memories: The year is 1967. I hitchhike from Capua to Rome. I am almost penniless. I sleep on a bench near the Coliseum. The noise of cars pulling over keeps me awake all night long as loudmouthed prostitutes negotiate a price. Some cars speed away in a hurry followed by shouts. Tired, in the morning I enter the Coliseum. The place is full of cats. Groups of well-dressed tourists with their guides try not to look at my haggard appearance.

Andrew: Interesting, that is quite a tale.

Fortunately, the next day in the Coliseum you were no longer tired and haggard when you slipped on your three-pocket Italian Linen Vest and delighted the tourists with an extemporaneous discourse on De Re Rustica.

Reminds me of the summer during college when I hitchhiked from Marrakesh on the road to Zanzibar. Everyone was really friendly, always waving and laughing. I really should wear my Striped Regatta Club Blazer more often.
