Before the monks of Christ the King Abbey reconciled with the Diocese of Birmingham AL, Father Giardina discussed the idea that Our Lord first shed blood for us when he was circumcised and this shedding was enough for our salvation. I had only occasionally thought about this over the past 20 to 25 years, so I was very happy to hear your reading from Father Troadec. Why, pray tell, does the NO de-emphasize the circumcision? Were the reformers embarrassed by the Jewishness of it?
