Repeating what Fr. G. stated (above), yes… this definitely reminds me of that awful post-modern and atrociously designed L.A. “cathedral”.
I have always had the impression that those opaque scaffolding screens were required by some Italian regulation resulting from the confluence of aesthetic concern and a compulsion for government officiousness. The screens may just be par for the course for the scaffolding sub.
Is anyone else worried about what is going on inside that box or what this “restoration” project entails? From sad experience, I trust neither the motives nor the results of anything this gang does…
