In Singapore, it’s 2-2.  Ding opened with 1.Nf3 and Gukesh found a way to draw in 42 moves.

OTB is cancelled where I am today, so I’ll have to find some discipline and work on something, probably puzzles and an opening.

In Porto Santo, Portugal, the FIDE World Seniors Championship has produced some winners in different age and sex catagories. The match was on a little island 34 kms northwest of Madeira. In the women’s 65+ group, chess legend Nona Gaprindashvili won silver. She is 83.

She sued Netflix, the makers of The Queen’s Gambit, for defamation because in the show it was said that no woman ever played men at a high level. The Queen’s Gambit is the hit series from 2020 which helped to spark the MASSIVE chess explosion which is still blowing up. It was originally a 1983 novel by Walter Tevis. HERE

The closing credits of the show were amazing.

Coming from Canada I can tell you it will only get worse. Now they’re trying to introduce MAID as being an option for people with disabilities and mental illness. They put it on hold until the new wave of doctors come through with less of a moral conscience to object.

How long until “assisting” is decided by someone other than the person dying?

This is evil. Those who vote for it cooperate with evil. With each of our last six children we had a standing request when entering the hospital. This was a “teaching” hospital. We would allow any students or residents to be present so long as they did not participate in elective abortions. My wife’s OB was from an outside practice and did not perform elective abortions.

In all of that time only ONE resident was present and she was a pediatric resident was doing her OB rotation. She was quite pleased to be the only one present as she normally would not be able to participate as that privilege would go to the OB residents.

We were once challenged by a staff doctor about this. We said that doctors who electively kill the unborn and can set aside their oath (if they take one) to do no harm are not fit to welcome new life into the world if they can kill and deliver on the same day. The doctor was very visibly upset about this. That was fine with us. Only in the event of a life threatening injury did we want staff doctors to help.

On my wife’s last delivery, our 13th child, my wife had a severe complication. The umbilical cord was wrapped around my daughters neck. Her OB ordered an immediate caesarean section due to babie’s dangerously low heart rate with each contraction.

The hospital staff doctor was NOT a surgeon and the resident working that shift did not have the needed experience to assist. By the grace of God TWO of my wife’s colleagues, BOTH surgeons with decades of experience, just happened to be in the hospital at the same time. My wife had a complicated delivery and my daughter was blue when she was delivered. The surgery NEEDED all of those doctors.

I was told afterwards that my wife very well could have died without them being present as she had multiple bleeding issues that required skilled hands. God provided for my wife when she needed it.

These types of laws can make people in despair do irrational, permanent things that very well may send them to hell. When governments approve of these types of things, when politicians vote for these things, it shows they do not have respect for human life and they are not trustworthy, moral people.

Pray for them and pray for yourself that God will always provide what is needed when it is needed. He always has for us. Maybe not what we wanted at that time, but we have always been provided for.

In the Netherlands children 12 and over can now commit suicide even for psychological reasons. Can any decent person imagine helping a 12 year old to die? Something terrible happens to a soul who commits such evil as that, or abortions, it’s so contrary to God’s plan. You’re deadening your own soul. Doctors today are not going to be like the doctors of yesterday, it’s a loss for us all. It’s a business, they’re going to treat it that way, and we the patients, lose.
England, Ireland, Scotland, they are all going down into the hole. They all need a huge Christian revival, do the people realize that? If you hate your developing country, see it going badly astray, get to praying! In America, sufficient numbers of people prayed, prayed AND prayed, begged God for help, and on November 5th, the prayer was answered, in a pretty miraculous way. It can happen, but find God first, and all these things shall be added unto you. Get your conscience right, stop sinning, repent, go to confession, pray for God’s help, elect better representatives. What GB has now is appalling, nothing but pagans, bullies of both sexes, and globalist sellouts, ugh. Straighten yourself out first, then help your country!
@Moon, I’m so glad it all worked out, thank God.
