ROME 26/10-11 – Day 34: Requiem for deceased benefactors

ROME 26/10-11 – Day 34: Requiem for deceased benefactorsFor this 307th day of 2026, the sun rose at 06:43 over the Eternal City.

The days here are not eternal, however, and the sun set at 17:04.

The “Ave Maria” Bell for the Curia remained in the 17:30 cycle, though, as the days grow shorter the solar time for its ringing draws closer to that cycle.  The solar time for the “Ave Maria” Bell was 17:34.  Expect a change of cycle.

There were 59 days left in the year and 3 full days of my sojourn.

Mass today was a Requiem celebrated for the intention of my deceased benefactors.  Sometimes people will let me know when one of my donors has passed away and I mark them down lest I forget.  Of course, there are surely quite a few who pass and I don’t receive word.  In any event, today’s Mass was for all of them who have left this vale of tears.
