    Though I am a Catholic, I like to celebrate Oct. 31st by listening to Mendelssohn’s Reformation Symphony. I guess I can chalk it up to my college days at St. Olaf… I hope I don’t need to do pennance–or get any indulgences–to make up for that one! (At any rate, it seems more appropriate to me to celebrate a Protestant occasion than a pre-Christian pagan tradition of ghosts, goblins, and whatnot.) In light of the Sistine Chapel opening Fr. mentions, I might have to rethink my Oct. 31st routine however. But of course, the real celebration is All Saints’ Day tomorrow!
