“This blog is rather like a fusion of the Baroque ‘salon’ with its well-tuned harpsichord around which polite society gathered for entertainment and edification and, on the other hand, a Wild West “saloon” with its out-of-tune piano and swinging doors, where everyone has a gun and something to say. Nevertheless, we try to point our discussions back to what it is to be Catholic in this increasingly difficult age, to love God, and how to get to heaven.” - Fr. Z

With all the unfair criticisms the HF is receiving, I am pleasantly surprised at the outpouring of support shown by individual and organized faithful. It is an interesting way to combat the conspiracy to nrainwash the average person. By displaying such support (be it clergy, lay, PhD’s, high school drop-outs, entrepreneurs, workers, etc….), they are showing the world the media’s true colors.
If I were in Rome, I would definitely be in St. Peter’s Square to give His Holiness a shout out (don’t worry, Fr. Z, I won’t use capital letters here).
But unfortunately, I am on this side of the pond, so I can’t [sigh].
But at least I can support him with my prayers….
