Pres. Obama’s “science czar”: compusory involuntary abortion because of climate change

From WorldNetDaily there are some comments about Pres. Obama’s "Science Czar" John Holdren.

Obama science czar John Holdren stated in a college textbook he co-authored that in conditions of emergency, compulsory abortion would be sustainable under the U.S. Constitution, even with Supreme Court review.

WND has obtained a copy of "Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment," published in 1977 and co-authored by Holdren with Malthusian population alarmist Paul R. Ehrlich and Ehrlich’s wife, Ann. As WND reported, the authors argued involuntary birth-control measures, including forced sterilization, may be necessary and morally acceptable under extreme conditions, such as widespread famine brought about by "climate change."

To prevent ecological disasters, including "global warming," Holdren argued the U.S. Constitution would permit involuntary abortions, government-imposed sterilizations and laws limiting the number of children as steps justified under the banner of "sustainable well-being."

  1. “Social Justice” taken to its logical liberal socialist conclusion. Liberals, progressives, Marxists and Nazis have been sterilizing and aborting people everywhere they have been in power since the beginning. Liberalism is evil and is all about death and misery. This is what the Wacko Liberal “social justice” crowd have wanted in order to make everything “fair” and “save the planet” and the most effective way is to eliminate the source of the problem in their view… humans. Now that is real hope and change isn’t it?

Paul Ehrlich keeps coming back like a bad penny. He was big when I was in college because of his book The Population Bomb.

He did his grad work at KU in, of all things, entomology, specializing in butterflies.

Is anyone aware of Mr. Holdren having repudiated his views since the book was published?

And yet the Democrats who attend Catholic Churches will still support Obama.

And still attend those pesky “Social Justice, Peace & Integrity of Creation” meetings. All the while advancing the agenda of the liberal wackos running this country, blissfully ignorant that they the “Obama catholics” are being used by true evil to destroy our life, liberty, country and our Holy Faith. Just remember, Yes they did and yes they most certainly will.

Prudentius, said “Pray for them, resist them”
We must pray, and I fear we will have to fight them. Martyrdom may be in all our futures. God Help us all.
In this age so few live the Catholic Faith how many are willing to die for it?

Aside from the fact that this whole czar approach bypasses the checks and balances intended by the Constitution name one of BO’s many czars that is anything but clueless. Never in the history of this nation has any President appointed so many who: A.) Have had to withdraw from nomination due to some “problem” in his/her background or, B:) Is of absolutely questionable background but not subject to legislative review and approval and is appointed bad background not with standing.

Daily prayer for the very survival of this nation is critical.

Tridentine Catholic….where is our Church? Will it take outright persecution for us to know we are in the Coliseum? The kingdom of Alinsky is being realized.

  12. Agnes says:

With more than half a dozen kids, I guess I am toast.

Oh well, nothing left to do but be a loud-mouthed Catholic.

Pray for them, love thy enemies, and absolutely resist such nonsense.

  13. Fr. John Mary says:

I’ve been meditating each morning on the English and Welsh Martyrs…hung, drawn, and quartered (which I must admit I did not know what that meant until recently)…good Lord Jesus! What horrors they endured. And all they had to do was say the the King or Queen was the head of the Church! And they didn’t. One martyr (whose name I forget) said to the Protestant minister standing next to him before being hanged, said (to my recollection), “Sir, I do not need to be informed about the faith. I am here to die for the True Faith.” Not much else can be said.

  14. Seraphic Spouse says:

That made me feel sick–quite literally. Ooh! Maybe I’m pregnant. I think every time someone says or writes the word “involuntary abortion”, a married couple should consider having another kid.

  15. Father John Mary,
How many of us today would have such conviction? We all would like to say we would, but when it comes right down to it would we? I can imagine those in Rome before their martyrdom asking those questions of each other before they received their crown of martyrdom and died honorably. I hope and pray that we are not put to this test, but with all that is going on it seems to be likely in the near future. If masses are sterilized and children forcefully aborted by the state I would hope that as Catholics we would rise up and fight to our last breath. Do we as a people have such a will and fight left? In the face of such tyranny praying and peacefully protesting as we do at abortion mills now would not seem to be the way to go. Could we as a Church morally forcefully resist and fight? There are many questions we must face.

  16. Thomas S says:

A brief, but disturbing, anecdote from the world of pop culture. I was watching an episode of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien yesterday (DVRed so I’m not sure what day it actually was). In his monologue he mentioned a story about some group that said condoms were the best defense against global warming because they can reduce future generations.

    The crowd response: Wild applause.

This is what the Holy Father meant by a Culture of Death. Western society has a death wish.

We need to be mindful that although it is the young generation that is returning the Church to Tradition and classic morality, we are still not the prevailing philosophy in our demographic group.

  17. Fr. John Mary says:

Tridentine Catholic: you ask the right questions.
I have this awful intuition (I could be wrong, of course) that Catholics will have to be ready for martyrdom, whether white or red. White, of course, meaning persecution and mistreatment. Red, well, I think you know what that means. I don’t want to sound pessimistic, but to be faithful to our Lord and His Holy Catholic Church, the example of the holy martyrs of Rome, England/Wales/Ireland, Russia and all the Soviet satellite states, China, Ruganda, etc. must give us courage and fortitude. May our Lady bless our land, so polluted with the blood of the unborn, the terminally ill, the handicapped, and all those who have died for the Truth.

  18. MenTaLguY says:

I would be careful with WorldNetDaily. In this particular case they are offering a reasonable level of documentation, but in general I would look for independent confirmation of anything they print.

  19. Sandy says:

All of these czars, unelected people with power, are really frightening. Look at their writings and former associates. I agree with Fr. John Mary. I just read about the coming avalanche of attacks on the Pope and the Vatican.

  20. JoAnna says:

I hope he’s changed his mind since 1977.

  21. Tradster says:

Sadly, martyrs are a thing of the past. Why suffer for the True Faith to save your soul when the “Spirit of VCII” Church is teaching (a) there is no True Faith anymore (ecumenism), and (b) everyone goes straight to Heaven anyway?

  22. Fr. John Mary says:

Tradster: I understand your comment. Believe me, I do.
But as the heat gets turned up, the “spirit of Vatican II” will burn away and the real faithful will rally. I do believe this with my whole heart. Why? The Truth cannot be squelched, even by the obnoxious, over-bearing, and insidious interpretation of our Holy Catholic Faith.

  23. amsjj1002 says:

I’ve been reading about the Mexican Martyrs of last century — shot, hung, beaten, tortured. I’ve been told that when my grandmother was baptised, it had to be done in secret, behind closed doors, and with someone keeping a lookout. My family risked death simply by having a priest in their home. It’s such a scary idea, so frightening, but I hope if things ever became so grave, I would have the courage to follow their example, to stay loyal to our Catholic Truth.
