Card. Burke on the SSPX (video)

I am a little behind the curve on this, but I thought you might like to hear what His Eminence Raymond Card Burke has to say about the future (hopefully) reconciliation of the SSPX with the Roman Pontiff.

Thank your Eminence once again for you support to the Holy Father.

Here is a link to a glorious photograph taken yesterday when an SSPX bishop ordained eight new priests and twelve deacons! A welcome gift to the Church in need of priests.

    No kidding.

It couldn’t happen fast enough for me. I’m not worried about the priests’ obedience as much as the reaction from the “progressive” Catholics.

God bless the Holy Father and his commitment to Church unity.

Vatican II has, de facto, facilitated the erection of National Catholic Churches under the, de facto, sole control of the individual Bishops’ Conferences. Such renders BXVI, if not powerless, then weakened. Otherwise, why has Rome not dealt with the problems which exist throughout the World relative to adherence to the Magisterium and the raising of [Modernist] clergy associations which blatantly contradict Rome on matters of Faith and Morals – with, I would add, the connivance of their bishops?

The status of Vatican II has been raised above that of The Magisterium, but even those outside SSPX now acknowledge the deficiencies therein.
