  1. Adam van der Meer says:

I don’t understand the quotation in the second paragraph of section 2, “‘Accipite et bibite omnes: hic calix novum aeternumque testamentum est in sanguine meo, qui pro vobis funditur et pro omnibus in remissionem peccatorum’ (cfr Mc 14, 24; Lc 22, 20; 1 Cor 11, 25).”

I checked all three verses in both the new and the old Vulgates (through the Biblia Clerus program) and could not find any indication of a “pro omnibus”. The only place out of the three verses where there is any reference to “pro multis” is Mc 14:24 and in both the Nova Vulgata and the Antiqua Vulgata it says “pro multis”.

Is this the point that was corrected is the AAS?

  2. Andrew says:

    Adam:

Yes, this was corrected in the official version in the AAS (Acta Apostolicae Sedis) where it reads not “pro omnibus” but “pro multis”. Why the internet version remain uncorrected is a question that remain unanswered pro omnibus, so far.
