Frequent participant Tim Ferguson has done it again. He offered this as a comment to another entry, but I think it deserves its own spotlight. Sing to the obvious tune!
I’m dreaming of a broad indult,
and chant restored to pride of place.
Mass ad orientem,
Usque venientem,*
would be a wondrous Christmas grace.I’m dreaming of a broad indult,
Just like we’ve heard through the grapevine
May we all be turned towards the divine
And may Christmas Mass be Tridentine!
*Christum, understood
Thanks, Tim! Keep ’em coming!
Great job Tim. Irving Berlin has nothing on you.
Very good. Now what about one on the synodal exhortation which is always talked about but never issued. And what about that momentous talk he was going to give on the feast of St.Cecelia, and the rumor that he was going to issue a motu proprio on sacred music on the feast of St.Cecelia? Are we all dreaming? At least we have a pope because of whom we can have thewse blessed dreams. Its great that he is writinga book on Christ but the church is starving for a papal statement on the liturgy.
Okay, Tim. Now how about a carol about those OCP missals roasting on a open fire?

Hahaha. LOL. Really all of you are too much. I think I may just crack a rib. Positively the best thing I’ve read today. Thanks a lot. Keep it up. God’s blessings to you all.
Forgot to put quotation marks for Argent’s quote above
I could hear Bing Crosby crooning that out in my mind as I read that.
Great job!
