I feel like Zeno’s turtle.
Father Bartoloma,
Don’t worry we are already halfway there. ;)
That’s nice to hear, but how reliable is the source? “the Motu Proprio…SHOULD BE published this week.” Is he making a statement or is this just more wishful thinking?
The March 25 predictio has come and gone. I’m going out on a limb here — not really — and saying Easter will come and go without seeing this as well …
Won’t be in Holy Week, very likely tomorow.
The prediction of March 25, or of any other major holy day of the Church, had no chance of being right. The Pope doesn’t issue major documents that would overshadow important feast days.
Fr. Z,
Am I correct in thinking that the document would be announced by the Vatican at least a day before its release?
frjpec: I’ve been wondering about that too. Normally, there is advance warning of a document and the announcement of a press conference to present a document. In the case of a Motu Proprio, which by definition is an act of the Pope on his own initiative and schedule not necessarily referring to any event or previous act, it could just drop out of the sky without much advance notice.
it could just drop out of the sky without much advance notice.
Fr. Z,
I had a friend who was in PSYOPS and you just gave me a great visual of “Save the Liturgy, Save the World” & “Free the Old Mass” leaflets raining down hear in Los Angeles. :) One can only dream…….
Hopefully tomorrow, or the day after, insh’allah (which a friend who had spent much time in Saudi Arabia said, in this context means “manaña” but without the sense of urgency).
It’s okay, even if it doesn’t show up tomorrow or the next day, keep the drums rolling. More and more people are hearing.
All my money’s on April 5th, Holy Thursday.
A good way to bring about a desired outcome is usually to deny its happening. So, for the record: The MP is not gonna happen.
