    UK celebrations for the Motu Proprio – Summorum Pontificum

    On September 14, at Holy Rosary Parish in Indianapolis, Indiana, a Solemn High Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. This also commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Fraternity of St. Peter in this Archdiocese. The Rev’ds Michael Magiera, Dennis Duvelius, and Mark Wojdelski will serve as the sacred ministers.

    If you don’t have it already, EWTN will have a Solemn High Mass live from the lavish church at the nuns’ monastery in Hanceville, AL at 8 a.m. EDT. They’re bringing in an FSSP priest for it.

    The televised Mass on EWTN will have more than one FSSP priest there–I understand the entire seminary is going to Hanceville for this celebration. There will be more than one FSSP priest on the altar for this Solemn High Mass.

    Also, the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest is celebrtaing a Solemn High Mass at their new Shrine of Christ the King in Chicago on the 14th (evening, I think), and this will begin a 40-hour devotion to take place through the weekend.

    Holy Family Church – the Indult parish for the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio will hold a Solemn High Mass. This church is also the home of the Jubilee Museum. It has 18 rooms of antiquities, many related to the Latin Mass. The Missal for this Mass was printed in 1607, and this is the 400th “birthday” of the book. It is still very sturdy, and it shows the witness and continuity of the Mass.

    The Jubilee Museum is sending an 1884 Missale Romanum to the Sisters at EWTN for the televised mass there on the 14th.
    The museum is also sending old altar cards, two ciboria from the late 1700s and an Epistolary from 1888.

    The Solemn High Mass at Holy Family will begin at 7:00 PM. The church is located at 584 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH. A reception will follow. The Latin Mass has been offered in the Diocese of Columbus for eleven years.

    There will be a Solemn High Mass with the chanting of the Te Deum and of the Magnificat at St. Alphonsus in downtown Baltimore at 7pm on Sept 14. St. Alphonsus is the lone Indult parish (I think) of the Archdiocese and can proudly claim having had both St. John Neumann and Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos as previous pastors.
