My friend FA (and the editors of L’Osservatore Romano) would be pleased to know that they are playing over the speakers here music from The Blues Brothers.
A shoutout to this gathering from here in Florida: would have gladly joined but for the distance. Hope the weather has improved some. Cooler days are predicted for the NE. Valeatis quam optime.
I had an excellent time, Father. My embarrassing moment: at the last table, toward the end, I received a phone call from Mom. Somehow she found the stream and was asking me to move “a little to the right.” Parents and technology are a dangerous combination. If anyone caught this and can put my facial expression to words, chime in. (I was the guy with a yellow polo shirt.)
It was a good blognic. 10 people showed up. It was nice to meet a few new people as well.
The location was good as well. Good coffee too!

Any chances of a blognic in a very rural Midwest location,such as near Athelstan, Iowa? The coffee is good around here as well. A little south of here, there is rare cell-phone access, so Hilleyb can sit anywhere he wants without parental calls in most rural areas of northern MO and southern IA.
So sorry not to have been there—had meant to come but just too tired after a late night at work. Glad to learn that those who came had a great time.
