Yes, insanity. There’s a petition going around in St Louis for the removal of the statue of St Louis and the renaming of the city itself. He’s offensive to the Jewish and Muslim communities.
The attacks on statues are standing in for white people, who apparently are only too happy to take the blame for slavery which they had nothing to do with. I am disturbed by the numbers of black and white people who hate this nation, that has given everyone such opportunity, and the obvious contempt white people are held in by our black neighbors. I am most surprised by the numbers of white people who do not understand the true nature of what is going on, a spiritual battle covered over by a black supremacism that is based on pure hate and a thin restraint of violence. The statues get it today, but they’ll get around to it. I doubt if this will hold off even until November.
If Donald Trump wins, it’s on. It Biden wins, it’s delayed, but still on, because as we have had proven to us, Democrats endorse violence against their political opponents. And this is the group our bishops support, the party they like.
I’m wondering if they are already going sideways. In this era of moral relativism and endless redefinition, it looks like some people are trying to make insanity and mental illness the new normal.

Academia appears to be a place where the students are being trained in the fine art of emotional blackmail and extortion, and taking whole academic subjects hostage, making demands that are little more than ransom notes. All you have to add to the cancel culture are the words “with extreme prejudice” and colleges and universities become preparatory schools for terrorism.
“If the Left wins, this nation will never be the same.”
It will take a massive Republican sweep for the right to have even a chance, and even then I fear that they just won’t have the stomach to start reversing the leftist ratchet. Trump can’t do it by himself even assuming that he has the stomach for it, unless he wants to out-bully the leftist bullies and essentially become a dictator himself. It will take direct confrontation of the underlying principles behind the insanity, which so far no one has had the stomach to do. It will start with a direct confrontation of the Supreme Court, perhaps by repealing Title VII altogether, for starters. But if Congress and the legislatures are divided and no one wants direct confrontations, we can only slow the leftist bandwagon, and not by very much at that. The last three months have been the culmination of a revolution. It’s going to take nothing less than a counter-revolution to fix that, not just a line in the sand or a few bandages here and there.
I pray for the peoples of America and hope many around the globe do so as well. Many don’t realise that if America falls, so does the rest of the world. There is a very good reason why the office of POTUS is referred to as ”leader of the free world”.
Pray the Chaplet of St Michael the Archangel often for America and POTUS.
It’s insane. Seattle has had a public statue of Lenin for 25 years:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statue_of_Lenin_(Seattle)
I’m just disappointed that the CHAZ didn’t pick that neighborhood for their revolution.
to be fair, Schalke hasn’t done a good job winning in this season (or the last).
Toppling statues is just part of the hatred toward western culture. In 1855 in Louisville, KY a mob attacked German and Irish Catholic neighborhoods. 22 people were killed and more injured and much property was destroyed. No one was convicted and none of the victims got restitution. I can see that happening in the not so distant future unless things change.
And the racial excuse has been revealed for the pretext it was: they took down Grant. Yes, Grant, Civil War hero against the Confederacy, the man who freed the one slave a family member gave him, the man who became President and sicced the military on the KKK. Whatever this is really about, racial issues are just an excuse, and not even a consistent one at that.

“John Miller, deputy police commissioner for intelligence and counterterrorism, told NBC New York that the radicals’ operations included organized scouts, medical teams and an arsenal of rocks, bottles and accelerants.
“Antifa also used encrypted communications as part of the planning.
“A New York City police spokeswoman confirmed Mr. Miller’s information and said the operations of the rioters included a complex network of scouts on bicycles who would move ahead of demonstrators and identify locations with minimal police presence. At those locations, extremists were able to easily vandalize or burn vehicles using Molotov cocktails.”

This is a battle between Western Civilization (Jerusalem, Athens, Rome) and barbarism (Antifa, BLM, Marxism, Leninism, socialism, occultism, anarchism and nihilism).
Too insane. But I would be less worried if it didn’t seem that the majority of our bishops were just fine with it.
I think there will be a terrible persecution…not just of Catholics, but of anybody who won’t go with the flow. And unfortunately I think many of the bishops will be out there cheering it on. They want so much to be loved by their real master, the state.
The church has always defended the private sphere and conscience. Not any more.
This is nothing less than an attempted communist takeover of our country. They have been as successful as they are to the extent that they have been brainwashing the populace for decades. Some people are waking up, especially in the black community, which is beginning to see how the left has been lying to and using them for many years, and has worked to undermine the building blocks of civilization–faith, family, education, culture–in their communities. Yes, this election will determine if we become socialist, and some voices in the Catholic world are beating the “Your vote doesn’t count” or “We need a third party” drums. To do that and syphon off votes that might prevent us all from becoming CHAZ/CHOP would be an enormously foolish thing to do. This is not an ordinary election.
Well, one attempt on a statue, that of St. Junipero Serra in Ventura, CA, went untouched – for now. A group of smart protectors got next to the statue first and defended it, while the Chumash tribe leaders noted that they were conflicted about Fr. Serra and did not condone violence. The violence-mongers did not have complete control of the situation, and they were stymied – and without anyone asserting anything like white supremacy or justifying actions that harmed other races.
“The secular iconoclasm of the current moment will not bring reconciliation, peace, and healing. Such violence will only perpetuate the prejudice and hatred it ostensibly seeks to end…Only the love of Christ can heal a wounded heart, not a vandalized piece of metal,” Bishop Hying concluded.

The statue of St. Junipero Serra in Ventura apparently is still standing and defended by Catholics. God bless ’em.
“I do not worship matter, I worship the God of matter, who became matter for my sake and deigned to inhabit matter, who worked out my salvation through matter. I will not cease from honoring that matter which works for my salvation. I venerate it, though not as God.”
