You read the sonnets so beautifully—making the language lovely and full of meaning at the same time. It is not an easy thing to make it look so effortless.

  2. Thank you. I’ve been into Shakespeare and the Sonnets since was was SEVEN years old. They are old friends. I once had them virtually memorized. But that was a long time ago.

What a pleasure it is to get acquainted with them again!

Perhaps some people who have never heard them are finding them through me for the first time. That is why I have chosen to read more for comprehension, than for music. I try not to ignore the music, but I am mainly reading for comprehension. It’s a choice.

    Thanks for that feedback.

Bless your parents for making Shakespeare available to you at such a young age. I did not become a sonnet aficionado until my twenties, although my Mother used to read excerpts from the plays to us and both my parents read and recited other great works of poetry to us ( as well as silly ditties.) A gift for which I have been very grateful. And Happy Birthday. I sent prayers up for you and your Mom today. You are a great blessing in these difficult times More than I can say.
